Hey Guys,

I was taking my car out for a drive and it started making this noise. So I drove it back to my parking space and filmed this while doing it. Video attached.

I am guessing it's something related to rear brakes? I am not sure.

Will Ford cover this?

Does anyone know what this might be?

Just got my first oil change done at 2500 kms and it's been around 3 weeks since I had the car.

Please help.

Will this be fixed by Ford or will it fall on me to cover the costs?
Hard to say. Something could have fallen out or something could have gotten stuck in….

from the sounds of it, it sounds like brakes. I’d stop, crawl under it and take a look just to make sure nothing obvious it hanging about. Road debris could have gotten snagged or a problem with a caliper or shield. On the surface, it sounds like, best case, a new rotor may be in your future.

something is hitting the rotor to make that loud of a sound that ain't break pads and yes your Ford dealer should absolutely be taking care of whatever that is

Id bring it to a dealer, you didn't pay all that money for squeaky breaks.
Sounds like a dust shield hitting a rotor
Just called the dealer and sent them this video. They said if it's a brakes problem it will be covered and fixed but if something's stuck and hitting the rotor, I will have to cover the costs.

Make sure there isn't a stone in between the dust shield and the rotor. Check the rotors and see if their is any gouges or deep lines in the rotor.

That my friend, is the sound of post-pandemic Ford qUaLiTy. :)

🤣🤣🤣

I'll stop being a jerk now, its your brakes.
Keep that sound so people hear you accelerating AND coming to a stop.

I tried going under the car and checked behind the rotors as far as my hand could reach. I didnt see anything out of place and did not feel anything rubbing against the rotors. I tried going for a drive and didnt hear the noise but it did come and go for a second.

Also, I noticed these scratches on the rear left rotor. I dont see these kinds of scratches on the other three rotors. Something to do with the noise? What can it be?

S650 Mustang I am scared. What the hell is this sound? 1

I think it has to do with the panel gaps.

Probably some bad panels hitting your rotors..
What panels? Body panels?
Which panels can hit the rotor so that the inside gets scratched?

Omg bro…
Jack the car up, pull the wheel off, pull the caliper and I bet you’ll find the interference.

do it before you actually do some damage and have to really fix some bs.

Im thinking to have the dealership deal with it. Will this be covered by Ford?
