They'd siphon water inward instead of outward?

That was a strange thing about some bike tyres.
The arrow shaped tread on the rear looked like it would drain towards the centre of the tyre when correctly fitted, which seemed non intuitive. But the manufacturers explanantion was that the front tyre tread is designed to drain water outwards and creates nearly all the hydroplaning resistance. As it has much less work to do in a straight line, the rear was designed to drain water best while while at a lean.

So, hypothetically, do you have a specific reason you want to run tires in the opposite direction from what they are designed for? Put simply, they perform better when installed as designed.
You didn’t answer my question

LOL - I do not even know what your question to me was, and it should be rather obvious that my post was comedy.

You to the other poster who asked a question: "See above where it says 'hypothetical.'"

Me: Quote the other poster's question and insert the word "hypothetically."

Come on, man! 🤣

Not sure what else you are looking for... We "hypothesized" that the traction could be less.

Did you ask the Mfg. yet?

In the name of science, try it out!

was just trying to have a technical discussion but it appears this forum is more about fluff discussions

In my case I was merely having fun. I cannot have that technical discussion with you because I do not know very much about tire design and know absolutely nothing about this particular aspect of tire design.

Not sure how technical we could get... most of us are not tire scientists. Were you looking or discussion on molecular composition or friction coefficients or what exactly? I think that we covered the fact that the grip is likely to be less than optimal and it could even be a danger if it does indeed increase the risk of hydroplaning etc... about as technical as I get on the subject... sorry.

I still think your idea to contact the mfg is a good one... once you find out what you want to know, you can let us all know too!

If there is one thing I cannot stand, it is ignoramuses acting like they know something when they know nothing about it. They sure post their AI search results with utter confidence, though, which creates a vicious circle. AI picks up BS, repeats it, so the ignoramus posts it, reinforcing the AI to repeat the same BS on future searches.

The reality is that most of us are going to have no idea about the answer to your question.
