Yes the AEB pre-loads the braking system and then also activates the brake assist function. In most cases most drivers never apply the brakes hard enough in an emergency to activate the ABS on a dry road - brake assist makes sure the car does.Yesterday my pre collision took the braking over for the first time and I'm happy it did.
Car in front of me slammed the brakes from 30mph to 0 instantly on an empty road, just to let a car get on the road who was waiting on a small side road.
I applied the brakes but I felt that some heavier brakes were applied than what I pressed. I also saw some res screen on the display but hadn't much time to see what that actually was.
It has nothing to do with cruise controlChange you cruise control setting to normal
Thanks, I should have thought of that. Makes sense. In track mode it is always off
How to keep pre collision off, I am about to get rid of this gt because of how annoying it is. I turn it off and when I start Car back on it’s on. Please help it is ruining this car because of how harsh this breaking it is when I get close to a car, worst setting ever
All due respect, If you're talking about adaptive cruise maybe you should set it to 1 and not tailgate.
ally wanna get close when not driving in a track mode? How close do you really wanna get? I mean if the other guy is that bad do you re

“Note: Automatic emergency braking and evasive steering assist automatically turn on every time you start your vehicle.”
I’ve tried to turn this off when going through the settings and noticed it does turn itself back on. Though I haven’t even experienced this in my ~1500 miles with the car. I’d wager either the sensors on the car have an issue or, to put it lightly, the driver is not very good at driving.
Nice catch, that’s good to know
Maybe try putting the cake on the floor instead? I kinda figure if it aint buckled and it’s on the seat it’s gonna end up on the floor the first time i get …. err aggressiveGonna go to the dealer sometime next week. Taking a trip to Brazil. Appreciate all the feedback everyone but today was the the last straw. Had a cake on my passenger seat and out of nowhere the car breaked so hard and the cake flew.
