When I started doing track events regularly and my wife saw me packing up so many tools from the shop into the trailer, then unloading them again when we got home, she said "You really just need to buy two of everything so you don't have to move them back and forth." That's a great idea, but that ends up being a LOT of money, especially considering it has taken me nearly 30 years to build stock of tools in my shop. I do have some that I carry duplicates, but I can't bring myself to buy everything again. So... I end up spending lots of time loading and unloading tools.Funny thing about racers...they keep 2 sets of tools, tool boxes, supplies, parts. 1 set for home garage, 2nd set for trailer. I was shocked how many duplicates of stuff I had all over the place....but racing for 12 years, it happens. You never want to be at an event and not have the right tool or parts.
