Help needed: whipple tomahawk tuning issues

Finished the install of the my stage 2 whipple and now it’s time to program. But when I go to program , the tomahawk device is stating "Software version not recognized". Is there something wrong with the files?

I’ve redownloaded the files from the Dropbox multiple times. There’s only one BIN file and only one APPLDR file on the SD card. There are no name changes, or numbers added to the name of the files. The car was stock, as it’s a 2024 so there is no prior aftermarket tune.

on mine the 2 files are
APP.LDR
TOMAHAWK_8149_2024-AT-STAGE1-V2_RR3A-SEMWS1-JL.BIN

things to ask whipple are did they send you one for auto/manual DH/GT ect...

when you booted it up did it do the firmware update? thats what the app.LDR is i think
did you go in for the recall for auto stop start? that may have updated the software in your car and whipple may not have added that to their DB

I also notice the name of the actual BIN file “SEMWS2” does not match what the Tomahawk reads “14C204”. Don’t know if that’s normal or some kind of error. Again just making sure I’m not doing something wrong

i think you are doing everything right maybe pull the battery for a min in case the car is in some weird mode
but im thinking this is a whipple issue some checksum or something off idk

Ok gonna give that a shot. Probably won’t have any resolution til they respond (hopefully) tomorrow. I’m salty af man, so close to being done lol. I’ll update the thread once it’s figured out.

I put my SD Card in while I had it powered via USB, and the firmware on the tomahawk updated itself. Has your tomahawk updated its own firmware yet?

Update post: whipple quickly responded to my emails, got an update BIN file and everything worked as it should. Preciate the responses!
