@Jaredc ..... I would have the dealer remove it then they would be liable and they should know how to remove it. I would worry that if left on it would discolor over time. What I haven't heard of makes for too long a list but I haven't heard of a dealer applied windshield film. I have heard of guys in the Yukon applying films as they would lose a windshield a week due to rocks. Most just drive around with cracks all over their windshields - so do the cops. LOL
Yeah I've never seen a windshield with this film on it. I also forgot to mention that I have a clear bra on the front that came with the car. Feels like the same material as the stuff on the windshield.

I'd risk a broken windscreen than a film that distorts vision. On a dark rainy night you could end up with a broken car.
Yep! You are correct. I used Xpel just now and it looks like some of the hard water stains came out. Not enough unfortunately. So Monday I'll be making arrangements.

Ha. I asked before is you PPF anywhere else on the car and you said only the windshield. Lol

So who put the PPF on the car? Dealer or aftermarket? Who ever did the front of the car obviously did the windshield too. And you paid for it.

Correct, like I said, I forgot to mention the protective clear bra on the front. I figured the bra was standard on most new vehicles. I've just never seen a protective windshield film.

The dealership put it on. I looked at all my documents and there's no extras on there. I negotiated pretty much everything into the deal.

Well, that's a nice free perk. PPF isn't cheap.

I'd take it straight to the dealer and have them remove the windshield film though. If they put it on, there's no point in messimg around with it and making your life more difficult. 👍🏻

This is the film. I was easily able to peel it right off. I'm wondering if this was some sort of film meant to be removed after installation? This stuff was awful!

Haha. That looks like protective film for car transport, not PPF. I kind of thought that's what is might be.

Now the question is, what's on the front of your car? Dealers don't give out free PPF.

Post pics please.

I'll work on getting a picture of the clear bra. It's kinda hard to see. But it's definitely there.

The line is very faint but it's there

As far as water spot removal on glass, I've had really good luck with this. Its much like a rubbing compound but designed for glass. I had a 2004 GTO, which was built in Australia by Holden and shipped over here. Had all kinds of salt water spots on the glass. This stuff takes it right off. https://www.amazon.com/Duragloss-755-Automotive-Glass-Remover/dp/B0007IJR1I?th=1
Thanks for the suggestion! I actually took off the film, and I can see! Lol. Seriously, it's like I went from 480p to 4k high definition! I always knew something was off about my windshield, but it wasn't completely noticeable until it started raining.
