well I guess if I’ve never been told about anything like that I have nothing to worry about….. talked to my dealer rep today and she had no idea about the hail storm damaging cars.

she told me mine is possibly being held because of the recall for the windshield wiper system

Maybe the Windshield Wiper Problem is that it doesn't work when there is no Windshield!

So do you think he is lying to us or his dealer is lying to him? I think it's less likely that someone would come on here and make up this story than Ford deciding not to issue a press release on it. Maybe Ford eventually will do so after a thorough assessment of the damage?

I saw on a facebook Mustang page that there was a hail storm that went through flat rock and it totaled 105 Mustangs….

guy said he got a call from his dealership saying his custom order EB Convertible that was built on 6/26 was totaled in the hail storm and had to start all over.

that wasn’t very comforting to hear since my Mustang was built 18 days ago on 7/1 and still hasn’t shipped yet…

dealership is closed tomorrow on Sunday’s so I won’t be able to call until Monday morning…. Very unsettling to hear about that

@BimmerDriver ..... agree 100% that most FB is crap BUT you obviously haven't seen what a hail storm can do - shattered glass, all panels needing replacing AND if a hard top it has to be cut off and re-welded on. Then comes the painting. If you ordered a car and that happened at the factory or if you had a new car in your possession and that happened, would you accept it after those repairs? Full disclosure, this is a official Mustang 7G IQ test

No one is disputing that hail can damage a car. No one is saying one guys car couldn't have been damged by weather at the factory. And no one is saying you should accept delivery of a car with hail damage. The IQ test is in the reading comprehension.

The dispute is the story about over a hundred Mustang being allegedly totaled, that production has been delayed, and that a FB is a reliable source to back up the claim.

I don't figure @dhammy fabricated the message from his dealer he showed in post #18. It's also easy to understand why he would believe what he was told, given they re-did his order. It boils down to whether the dealer gave him accurate information about 104 cars.

Turs time I know my dealer is a a new car Ford dealer who is also a personal friend. He is not lying to me. I have no idea why but I even submitted proof and you still calm me a liar. Get. Alife.
Yes i was first told ahippeo g was delayed dealer told it was pulled form shipping but he didn't know why.
Last Friday he messaged me and told me " your mustang was totaled along. With 104 other mustangs in a. Weather related incident ."
So yes reading comprehension is really good to have.
