At least there is 1 country on this planet who is happy about what is going on. And it's not the one who is paying for all of this. 🤣

Now we have 2.83 Euro a Liter in The Netherlands for Super98.

Even countries who produce their own oil are going to higher the price. There are so many oil fields and infrastructure destroyed that countries who rely on Iran's oil have to find oil from somewhere else. That will create a shortage to other countries who do not rely on oil coming from that region.

The world has huge factories, harbors, ships, trucks and all kinds of transportation and machinery who rely on oil.

These coming years will be a disaster. And for what? Just because there is one tiny country who wants to expand on behalf of their neighbours and marks all of them as a threat to their existence. And we all pay for their agenda.

Ransom only works when extraction is accepted

All of the reminds me of Warren Buffett's famous quote: "Price is what you pay; value is what you get"! So Mr. Buffett, what happens when the former is high, and the latter low?

Would that be sell? Not too sure it would be hold or buy.

First time in my life, I've ever paid $5+ per gallon for premium.
That’s when those manufacturer ‘credit’ cards come in handy (assuming the station is available). Not the bank card but the station only card (where if they skim your number it only works to buy fuel), especially when they automatically include a minimum of 5 cents off per gallon (just gotta know what’s available along the route - a northern only card usually is only good in the north type of thing). Kinda like the invest in what you buy principle.

Let’s not lean to heavily into the ‘we as in us’ are responsible for their actions narrative.
We certainly didn't make the Iranian government behave like terrorists, but the government falling into the hands of extremists is a result of the '53 coup. So there's that.

It seems the latest is that Iran is now going to tax the Hormuz straight. If that's allowed to stand, Tehran is setting themselves up to get eliminated when the countries forced to pay decide they won't and Iran won't be able to field a lot of resistance to whomever decides to act.

I think it would have been prudent to keep the pedal down, rather than negotiate because as anyone would have guessed, they agreed to a ceasefire, then immediately broke it. Who didn't see that coming.

If you're paying a toll your flag doesn't mean squat.

Who broke it is clear.

Venezuela: 300B barrels of oil, proven reserves.

Iran: 200B barrels of oil, proven reserves.

Greenland: 1.5M tons rare earth elements, proven reserves.

Cuba...what makes Cuba interesting... While Cuba has only 124M barrels of proven oil reserves, they have 5B+ estimated reserves, yet to be tapped in the North Cuban Basin. Until this morning, that I did not know.

Aligning Cuba with the other countries put things in a clearer perspective. Looking to the individual sectors of the US economy, the oil, natural resource and defense industries would benefit the most.

The US is currently pushing $2T annual budget deficits. The Administration has two requests on the table. One, $200B in additional funding for the war (my word) in Iran. Another, $500B annual increases in defense spending, beginning as soon as FY 2027.

I had a $50 gift card for Wawa, they have 89 octane pure no corn juice gas so I put in $50 of that then another $11 and change of 93 octane.

Almost $62 dollars to fill up a Mustang from about 2.5 gallons left til empty

I put $20 of 89 octane corn juice adulterated last Monday night as I was sucking fumes and there was no corn free gas near me

all I can say is OUCH

The car gets 22 mpg normally, which is pretty good for a 480 at the crank HP car driven with the occasional exhibition of speed.

I really can't complain too much, adjusting for inflation and such it is still a deal and about the same price adjusted for inflation as it was in 1976 when I got my first car.... that on a good day got 12 MPG and cost me a lot of money to get it to run under 13 seconds in the 1/4 mile

Next fillup will probably be when I put it away for the summer and it will get a nice tank of 93 octane corn free gas

I am an old f###. Back in 68 I would ride around in my new Plymouth GTX,440ci 375hp 12 miles per gal with gas prices of 32.9c. Today I took a long ride in my Genesis G90 5lt got 25.4 mile per gal. with gas costing me $349.9. I checked inflation, it is roughly ten times since 68. Roughly 32.9 gas would be about $329.9 which is pretty cost to $349.9. That is close to ten times inflation. We are paying about the same now as then. The big deal is back in 68 the GTX was a screamer at the drag strip, laying down 13.9s. The Genesis G90 supposing can run the low 13s and gets TWICE THE MILAGE with all of the luxuries. That makes gas about half as much today.
By the way it was just too cold for the rag top Mustang today.
