On the contrary...I change engine, differential gearbox and brake oil frequently using only the best synthetics because I track the car.I just don't get buying a 50-60K car and cheaping out on 87 Octane gas. Do you use the cheapest non synthetic oil also? If the gas is that much of a problem maybe you should have bought an ecoboost.
I have a little over 300 miles 90% around town driving 4th, 5th, & sometimes 6th gear if I can keep it above 2000 RPM.What are you guys getting for gas mileage. My car will mostly be used around town. I will not be hot rodding it any at all, just maybe getting on it somewhat in 2nd gear coming off of a redlight.
Love seeing this pop up on forums. My car's MSRP was $60k and I've put 93 in it less than 5 times. Drives fine, goes fast as hell, and saves money.I just don't get buying a 50-60K car and cheaping out on 87 Octane gas. Do you use the cheapest non synthetic oil also? Don’t forget, certified performance was documented using premuim.Love seeing this pop up on forums. My car's MSRP was $60k and I've put 93 in it less than 5 times. Drives fine, goes fast as hell, and saves money.
Why you may ask? The owner's manual and gas cap literally say 87 octane. No reason to waste money on 93 when most of my driving is commuting. And yes, I do drive the car like Is stole it. I promise the Ford engineers know more about this engine (4th gen btw) than any of the forumites who complain about how others buy gas
