I didn't find anything but a big headache getting to the oil filter without a flap. Took me some time to get the panel off and replaced some of the push pins with an easier type to remove next time. I can change the oil and filter on my Mach 1 several times by the time it took me on the 2024. Engineers got to love them.

It took me a grand total of an extra minute to minute and a half to spin off the screws and pull the few push pins to change my oil. Not really a big deal to me. Love my Dewalt cordless ratchet.

ok here is the run down

15 - 7mm bolts
2 - push fender plugs
2 - other push fender plugs
15mm drain plug
76mm oil filter socket on a 3/8 drive with a 3" extension
10 quarts WSS-M2C961-A1 oil
1- Motorcraft FL-500-S filter
Hold to reset oil life :)

It looked like a hose and the bracing was going to get hit when draining the filter so I used my sliding board to catch it.

WIll go faster next time that I know where all the bolts are for the cover.

I hear ya, I like to get comfy and take my time.
First oil change took a long time, but just because i was taking a look at everything while under there and trying not to make a mess...
Here's how to get comfy:

Exactly what I want in my garage! Definitely need to invest in this. Side note: love that yellow splash!

Thanks!

Couldn't be happier with this lift. Had another model before and didn't like it. This one is great and very sturdy.
I'm curious about the lift as well. Which brand and model is it? I'm sure it's a little too rich for my blood but one can dream:)

Use one of these on your next change - and you can go a couple oil changes without changing the filter Mobil 1 says 20,000 but I wouldn’t do anymore than 10,000 but that’s still a few changes w/o screwing with the BS panel …

Ok so I just got through doing an oil change 700 miles, filtered the oil drain through cheese cloth looking for any contaminants or metal shavings, deposits…? Nothing found. Took about two and a half hours including test drive. The vehicle was on a four post lift 7 feet in the air. 20 minutes to get tools - set shit up, lift car, 35 minutes to take off the BS cardboard shield, which BTW just about every screw was fairly loose (from factory). About an hour to properly drain and wipe down mess from filter drop 😡 and put new Mobil 1 performance extended filter on, fill up with 10 quarts of Amsoil full synthetic extended life oil 5W-30W.

Drop - start, run, shut down, check dipstick. Raise, start, look for leaks, drop, take for 20 minute drive, - back in, check dipstick, raise, check for leaks, drop, check dip stick all good.

The extended Mobil 1 filter will allow me to two two oil changes w/o messing with changing the filter and BS cardboard shield 😡

I have the Quick lift it allows you to work on the center of the car. This lift does not look easy to take a transmission out. But love the yellow splash.

How long are you going to leave that amsoil in there?

If a filter is lasting longer, it's just not filtering as well. I'd rather use a regular filter and change it every oil change.
