We have our first recall for a loose brake pedal. Build dates are from June 7 - Oct 25. Apparently Ford is advising owners not to drive their cars until the loose pedal is fixed. As hard as Ford tried to get this rollout right the suppliers made sure there would be at least one. I'm in this window, too, by 5 days.

REASON FOR THIS SAFETY RECALL
In some of the affected vehicles, the brake pedal pivot tube may not have been properly flared. Missing flares can cause the brake pedal pivot tube to become unseated, resulting in a loose brake pedal. A loose brake pedal can result in a degradation or loss of braking function, which can increase the risk of a crash.

I tried to tell y'all these things would inevitably be recalled.

They don't call 'em Fix Or Recall Daily for nothing.

EDIT: What's really sad is this still happened *AFTER* a long production pause to supposedly address quality/engineering defects, LMAO!!!

I remember when the backup camera recall was a big deal on the s550.
Now it is just the brake pedal… What else is going to go wrong..
Ford get your crap quality together. You lead the industry in number of recalls rather than sales.

Well my car falls under that. Brake pedal seems fine. Only squeaks.

Well, I haven't received a letter yet but my car is included in this recall per my VIN#. Sheesh! I haven't noticed any issues with my brakes yet.
