This one hurts my heart. Along with Eruption Green, Mischievous Purple was among my favorite colors offered for the 2022 model year. This color is absolutely stunning in direct sunlight and immediately reminds me of the 2004 Mystichrome Cobras and Midnight Purple Nissan Skyline R34 GTR's.

I'm an absolute sucker for a purple Mustang, but I think this color will end up being a one-off. Throughout the Mustang's history, purple has been one of the most exclusive colors and almost always offered for a year at a time. I'm hoping that Mischievous Purple bucks this trend, but I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't return for 2023."

I love a good purple myself. I thought the mischievous purple looked great and it seems to be a very rare color? I think the eruption green is nice as well, but I'm not sure if I would buy it myself.

Mischieveous Purple would have looked great on the new body lines for 2024!! I almost but a Mach1 in that color but I did NOT want the Recaro seats.

Grabber blue and Yellow are the ones they usually rotate out of the lineup. Id expect eruption green to come back next year

Personally hope Competition Orange comes back. I would have ordered it in a heartbeat. Code Orange is great too. Twister Orange is a good alternative.

I just know the 60th anniversary next year will have an orange color, hopefully ill be in my car and too happy to care.

That being said, the yellow and vapor have the best chance of being rotated out in my opinion. Grabber has a chance too, but I feel like they rotate vapor blue, which will make it pretty special. Also maybe one of the grey/silver colors?

Agreed.
It seems a bit OTT to have 3 neutral grey shades; Ingot Silver, Dark matter Gray and Carbonized Gray. One of those has to go, surely?

Bye bye also to Grabber Blue and Yellow Splash, and that would make room for an Orange, Green and Purple.

I originally asked the question... wondering if Yellow Splash would become a "rare" sought after colour. There are too many white and red cars down under, but I can't quite commit to YS.
YS could be a colour you regret.

Did they survey the 20/30 somethings on preferred colours as well?

It's 2023, Ford is charging $70K+ for a Mustang and jet we can only have a handful of colors because of Fords shitty marketing and their old fashioned paint shops... Pathetic.

Their first marketing sentence is literally advertising the S650 as “Featuring many expressive design configurations”… Jet I can’t pick an individual color or have to wait until my favorite color might come available?!

My bet is Yellow Splash is 24 only, and maybe Vapor Blue. I see Grabber Blue staying since it’s also featured on the Mach-E, and Ford loves their neutral colors, so I don’t see them going anywhere.

Ford has had one year colors now since 17 or 18, and they typically have been the “exotic” color any given year. Still waiting for Ford to stop playing it safe and get out there with their color choices on a car that’s supposed to be flashy.
