The major software recall was for whipple to build in a mechanism to allow the throttle body to snap closed in the event of a power failure allowing the engine to stop and not continue to accelerate when you have no control.2024 with less than 5K miles. Ran perfect pre-Whipple.
Double checked the install by removing the blower, found one o-ring gasket that was suspect, replaced with Whipple o-rings, otherwise all good.
Then took it to an independent Speed/Performance shop, they found no mechanical issues.
AI says: Yes, there are documented calibration issues, including a major software recall, involving the 2024+ Mustang GT/Dark Horse Whipple Supercharger kits (specifically those sold through Ford Performance) that can trigger diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) such as P219B, among others.
this has no bearing on your issue. Trust me when I say it’s not a problem with their calibration or it would be a problem with the thousands of other cars running that same ford approved calibration including every FRPP stage 1 kit sold, installed and warrantied by Ford motor company.
