That is the absolutely most based out DH I have ever seen

One quick tell is look at the front splitter. A base model will have a splitter with one lip. An HP, a double lip.

Another is to look under hood at the strut tower. An HP will have a bare, unthreaded dowel exposed. Base model, no dowel showing at all.

The S550 M1 Base/HP and S650 DH Base/HP have these same characteristics.

As these cars can be converted from base to HP, the ultimate confirmation is the window sticker. The VIN alone will not provide that detail.

By the way that price is high. I got my 2025 base DH with recaros for 64k brand new. That used DH your looking at is worth $57-58k. Shop on a national level you will find a deal, and get a better interest rate.

One of the problems today is that all new GTs are on a stop sale d/t the recall. So that, I presume, has inflated the used car market.

A better option if they intend to go the used route would be to get a 21-23 mach 1 , its damn close to the same car, with a better interior imho, they have also gone down in price by thousands since I bought my dark horse in January. They could save 15k potentially compared to a used dark horse and get just as nice of a vehicle.

That's actually where I am right now, looking for a Mach 1.

Yeah but a base DH is pretty well equipped. I had a guy ask me the other day so what makes it a dark horse. Im like well its honestly an over glorified gt with a better 6spd, rear diff cooler, better rods, and slightly wider wheels lol truth be told.​

That sounds like a great deal considering a DH is only $NZ21k more than my GT PP down here.
Except I couldn't stretch to that and I wanted instant gratification not a 7 month wait.

I ended up flying 1300 miles and driving it home for my DH. Plus it was about the same price as a gt with all the fixins I wanted.
