Gee, if they only made the shipping blocks a bright color like yellow so they can be spotted at PDI. 🧐 These dealers sure have no problem charging that extra $1,500 for destination and dealer prep though don’t they?

Imagine working a job and not knowing a damn thing about it. Itā€˜s like working at Subway and not knowing the meat goes INSIDE the roll.

Well it has not changed as I took delivery of my 2026 Dark Horse and thanks to the forums I was able to check and sure enough they failed to remove the blocks during the PDI. I told the dealer and they said sorry and took them off, but they acted like nothing major. Hello! I have driven 2, 400 miles before I

noticed it and removed them. Not even the intial break in period oil change did the technician notice the blocks. Hell! They are a bright as orange in my case. Ford dealers need to do better!

Bumping this thread for other new S650 owners. Heard some squeaking today in the front suspension and found this thread after a Google search. Sure enough, the orange blocks were on my front springs. Got them off easy enough. I'm going to give the dealer credit though, since they did ship the car to me with only 9 miles on it. Just wish they would have let me know to take them off, LOL.

Anyone know whether these can actually work their way loose and fall out by themselves?

I took delivery of my DH and drove almost 300km back home and they stayed in.
I didn't even realize they were still in, was just so excited to pick up the car.
