For the past few weeks I’m unable to use custom drive modes anymore for some reason and the settings for custom modes in the infotainment screen is completely gone I’ve tried factory resetting it and still having the same issue. I’m out of warranty as well I’m pretty sure, being at 40k miles.

What happens when you go into My Mustang menu and try to view/change the settings?

How did you do a "factory reset"? Did you try to just reboot SYNC?

That sucks. Maybe the dealer has an update for the infotainment system that will reset it.

the custom mode button is just gone in the my mustang menu, and I went into the general settings and hit the factory reset button for the infotainment, it resets Bluetooth devices and personalized settings and such.

Ah, you did a reset, not a reboot. Try that.

Press and hold volume button and forward seek button for a few seconds to reboot.

I did also do this a few days ago and same thing, didn’t fix.

Bummer. I hate to say it, but you may have to visit the dealer, as painful as that may be.

I don't think a dealer visit would be so bad...they might just reflash it or update it.

yeah they told me over the phone that my car has all the current updates and they seemed confused when I mentioned refreshing/reflashing. They said it could be an electrical issue and since I’m out of bumper to bumper warranty it’ll be 180$ just to diagnose what the issue could be.

I was looking at some older forum posts about users with similar issues some people suggested to take out the battery for 10 mins or so and if that doesn’t work to try to charge the battery. Not sure if it ever worked but it’s worth a shot I guess

You might be due for a new battery?
I think this could be the thing, I do have a 24/7 dash cam front and rear + interior ambient lights + starlights and I do drive it a lot so I’m feeling it’s some thing to do with the battery I got a few low voltage warnings on my phone recently as well.
