I feel lucky seeing as my GT was fully loaded for almost the same price as what you originally posted. And I have zero regrets on white. Especially once you get the windows tinted.

Good comments on this thread for you. I’m 76, so I’m almost a senior!😉. I had a 22 Ecoboost, Great car. It had plenty of power, but I did not care for the lag in the turbos spinning up to give you that boost of power. The GT V8 is instantaneous for power. Plus the sound. Feel. I love the GT. If my 22 had been a GT I would still be driving it. And overall I get about 2mpg less with the GT. Guess my right foot pushed the Ecoboost more.
Also, with the 25 I added the B&O vs 9 speaker. Very happy with that decision. Active exhaust on both — essential. And of course the premium trim. I’m a red guy, so no input for you on colors.

Hopefully you have a dealer that can order it for you at a good price. Granger on Iowa (forum sponsor) will order at 4% below invoice, yes invoice. My dealer ordered my 25 for me. 4% below invoice. Repeat customer, so did not have to put anything down for the order, but a reasonable deposit is not a big deal.

I love my GT. 11k miles in 6 months. Zero issues with the car!!! GOOD LUCK!!

I'm going to head to a dealer lot this Sunday to see cars without sales folks to hound me. I'll look at colors first hand.
Why not hold out for the new 26 GT500 coming soon, (just a thought - plus it will give you some time to stash more beans) I am first on the list for one at my dealer hopefully details will be out soon …

Unfortunately, the additional "beans" will be grossly more than budgeted. What will out the door look like?

The GT350 wouldn't suck, that's for sure. The estimated fun will only be around $109,000.

For the fun of it, I tried to replicate the general look of the Iconic Silver GT350 -- why do the stripe options suck so bad?

Anyone have a good guess as to the cost to have a quality shop paint legitimate racing stripes?

Earlier this year I was in the market for a new car. I wanted a 25 400a, pp, ave, 6 speed with recaros and a few other options. Was a hard spec to locate. When I did find cars that had what I wanted they also had a bunch of other options I didn’t want. Decided to order the car instead of compromising. The car was delivered in 3 months. Would recommend you order. Just figure out everything you want.

I actually like white, white is a good color because of heat, difficult to see swirl marks, easy to maintain. That’s why I bought white - however on the Mustang, it wasn’t until after I bought it I realized it looked like a giant bar of Dove Soap on four wheels.

Look’s anemic, lacks class, needs to be highlighted with black accents or some other color to make it eye catching, otherwise it just disappears. In all reality if you can, pump up to a Dark Horse Premium w/ handling pack in one of the new colors Adriatic Blue or something like that looks amazing… You can plant your ass in a new DH for about $15K more if your loaning that’s about $150 a month more give or take.

All the goodies your slamming into that GT order come stock on a DH and on a GT you will never get your money back on them at least you have a shot at some equity in the DH if you need to sell. Just my thoughts, my experience - I’m Mr. Nobody like the movie, however, I am an older fellow like you
Hey 25 Raptor. Do the new colors include Royal Crimson? Have an '18 GT in RC and have held on to it because that color hasn't been offered since '18. Still get compliments on it after 7 years!! Enjoy your DH!!

When considering options, would I be better served NOT electing Active Exhaust and go with an aftermarket solution that still allows for dialing in sound levels? A deeper sound without the "pop pop pop" sound I seem to hear a lot these days. I'll miss my old-school V8 with a big cam and the exhaust notes that came with it.

I think I answered my own question. The answer is YES, some better options, but at a steep cost.

No offense but a lot of your questions can be answered with some research on the internet, just sayin’ 🫣

Go on YOUTUBE you will find a shit ton of sound clips, and the answers to just about every other question you have asked, color schemes, blah, blah, blah… unless this is about you getting your post count up -😳
