If I can negotiate a reasonable deal, I'm considering a special order. Looks a little plain-Jane in OW, but I'm guessing it's a decent canvas for aesthetic upgrades in the future. I also like white for hiding "stuff".

The red calipers look nice - I chose a wheel that allows them to space to "shine". I would LOVE to add custom wheels in the future - Project 6GR has some cool stuff.

I guess a little window tinting may be nice?

Anyway, I attached the build sheet, what am I missing for a street car that will NOT see track time. Anything important missing?

Thanks in advance.

I know its not new, and I understand the appeal but for 60k I'd strongly recommend a lightly used GT350 for sheer enjoyment unless you want the newer tech and a manual is not an option (my bias is performance, no tech in-case you can't tell).

That being said, what experience I do have tells me that silver is even better for hiding defects and highlights the lines of the car more. I'd get the cheapest wheels possible if you are going to swap. I'll let others weigh-in on performance pack value. I like a stiffer ride for corners in mountain roads etc. Makes it more fun. Tint helps cut down on sun glare etc. I really like it on my truck.

looks pretty good to me. Personally I like black wheels to compliment all the black trim against the white, but that is subjective at best. I like it!

I agree, I’d look at Project 6GR black wheels. The contrast is powerful. The question is, how do u plan to drive the car. You said no track, so the GT350 may not work for you. Do u plan to open her up on the street, or are u looking for a comfortable car to cruise around in?

If I trusted Ford's painting process, I would go with black. I have a love/hate relationship with the color. It's either SUPER beautiful or a "mess".

This wheel with the red calipers would also look great with white.

Thomas, I agree that silver shows off the body lines better, but honestly, I have had much better luck keeping white paint looking good. Touchups are not as noticeable and more forgiving all around. And I'm SUPER anal about keeping my cars clean, so the white will always be WHITE.

I'll pick my spots to have fun. ;-)

I formerly owned a 671 blown 56 Chevy, so no stranger to the loud peddle.

The attached pics were taken during my last and final engine swap before selling a year ago. The blower was mocked up for clearance and a photo.

This pic was also taken at a time when I was wiring my garage. You will see the covers off of electrical boxes.

I think you’ll enjoy the agility and cornering of your Mustang more than your 57. If u want to cover all ur bases, test drive a 2025 GT with the handling package and magnaride, or to sultan’s point, drive a dark horse, which I believe comes with magnaride. I bought a 2025 GT with standard suspension then upgraded with Steeda to improve handling and I’m very happy but should have considered magnaride.

Street cruising and straight line blasts. No canyon carving. That said, from what I know about MagneRide, I believe it would be a decent upgrade and serve me better then the more expensive Performance Pack. I do not need a stiffer suspension to control body roll and such.

I looked at the pics of your project car and garage, and it seems to me that you are an enthusiast, performance oriented, and knowledgeable. Just buy the car you spec'd .......

I'm looking around to see if there's any 2025's around in my area in white with the options needed. I found one, but it's 2 hours away (not a big deal), but wants as much as if I was to order a 2026. Must be white and it must have red Brembo's - for starters. And it must be at a much lower price than a custom order. Dealers looking to clear lots of 2025 cars.

Good luck .. I started looking for a 2025 model in May. It HAD to be Carbonized gray and Space gray with specific options .... nearest car in Tampa. Long story short, I ended up with a 2026 custom order for EXACTLY what I wanted. Yeah probably paid a little more, but, every morning when I walk into my garage, It's THE car I wanted .......
