Hi,

I have a 2026 GT on order with PP, MR, Active Exhaust and 401A. Of course, more items were eliminated in 2026 from 401A and/or offered as optional - Active Theft being one of them which came out of 401A and offered as a $500 option.

Anyway, what I also did notice is that the pictures I came across online of 2025 cars with 401A no longer have stitching on the center console knee bolsters - I’m sure the 2026 cars will not either, if this is the case. I really did like this touch - looks like I’ll have to spend more and order 2024 bolsters with the stitching!

It would be great if someone with a 2025 401A car can verify this!

Thank You,

Anthony

Can you explain what a center console knee bolster is?

The rectangular plastic trim pieces attached to the lower center console area near your lower right leg (on the driver’s side) and lower left leg (pass. side).

My 2025 GT Premium Convertible 401A built mid-March 2025 has sticking on the upper right knee console. The lower piece is plastic and I can’t imagine how they would stitch that.

Yep - the bottom piece was stitched before - oh well. Thank you for the pic!

Those are stitches that I’ll never miss. My big leg covers it.
Funny, because when I got in my car this afternoon I looked at it and thought it looked really nice. It would be a shame is they did away with it on the 401A. It definitely gives a premium feel to the interior.

Mine is the 401A. I’m thinking that they changed the material used for that panel also. Plastic vs vinyl, and stitches in the plastic would probably not work. Shoot, now I’ll notice that every time I get in the car. If I’d stay off the forum I’d never know!!

You can buy the 2024 panels - that’s what I’ll probably do : /

Looks like the 400A panels are now used for 401A - the plain plastic vs covered and stitched.

Keep in mind they molded in fake stitching on the dash pad of the S550. So don’t give them any ideas.

Still a GREAT time to buy a Mustang. Right now, the Ford employee pricing for 2025 Mustangs gives you most options at no cost.
