Carplay Ultra - Coming to the Mustang?

Watching the Apple WWDC 2025 for a bit this afternoon. Interesting to watch the Carplay Ultra portion. Not sure I want the dash portion (instrument panel), but interested to see how they start integrating the traditional controls such as climate. We can always cross our fingers to have the option retro as they used a Mustang in their WWDC sample.

I had previously not been a Carplay fan, but I travel a bunch and rent 40+ cars a year. Carplay has been a breath of fresh air moving through different makes and models weekly. I now use it in my Mustang and my wife's Palisade daily when home.

Here the first vehicle, an Aston Martin, to have it. A little dry looking for my taste, but intuitive.

Same. Sometimes I think the best mod I did was to use ForScan to display the gears all the time. Makes me feel more connected to the car.

Thanks for posting this! I have read a few places that manufacturers have stated they will provide backward compatibility and since Ford is on the will support list and has massive screens I am hoping they give owners the option down the road.
