Turn TCS off, go full lock on the steering wheel, and floor it. Something really cool will happen.
I'm not going to give advice, you can learn the hard way like I did.😎
Seriously though, take it easy, learn the cars little tricks, enjoy it. You probably don't know how lucky you are.🥳
BTW Can you get a licence at 15 there?
We used to here until about 5 years ago, it's 16 for a learners now.
I'm very blessed. But at 15 I have my learners permit not license. Only reason we got the car early is because it was a really good deal on a brand new 2024.

Hey everyone! Earlier this year in April I picked up a 2024 Mustang GT Premium in Shadow Black with the 10-speed. I’m still learning a lot, but I’ve already fallen in love with driving and the whole car scene.

So far I’ve had the windows tinted (50% windshield, limo tint all around) and added an MBRP X-pipe. I’m planning to get a Dark Horse-style spoiler with the Gurney flap next. Just taking things slow and building it piece by piece.

Glad to be here and looking forward to learning from you all and seeing what everyone’s working on!
Unless you grew up racing carts I would be very careful when you drive your new car. That's my only advice If you don't know what you are doing you can get in trouble very fast.

True words^^^^^^. Crashes happen so fast, you don't know anything happened until it's over. Just your, "drive careful" lecture. Take driving very seriously.

I like how all grown up men try to advise the young kid, but we all know that we have to bump our heads first to understand how life is. The best way is to buy a beater for a couple of years for experience.

But since a 15 year kid can afford to drive a brand new Mustang, I guess for him/her it will be the same pain as if it wad for me when crashing a 1000 USD car as a kid.

I don't say everybody has to crash before becoming a good driver, but the chance it will happen is always there. Especially when you are young and new to the driving world.

Great first car to have!

Best driving advice: Just because someone else is supposed to stop at a STOP sign, or at a RED LIGHT, doesn't mean they will. Drive like everyone else will NOT obey any traffic laws, and you'll be ready for most events on the road.

Also, get to know how that car behaves in a given situation.

Got it. We call the learner permit a learner licence. When can you get a full licence, 18?

Congrats on the new Mustang. My first car was a 66' Mustang with half the power (at best) of what the new Mustang 5.0 has. Even with half the power I easily managed to get myself into trouble on more than one occasion.

I'm sure you know the jokes about turning traction control off are jokes. I would highly recommend keeping traction control on 100% of the time until you know the car inside and out which can only come after many miles of seat time and driving experience.

Every car has the ability to kill innocent passenger(s), pedestrians, innocent drivers, and their passenger(s) sharing the road with you. This car has the ability to do that a little easier than most to include yourself.

Be safe and enjoy!

Here's one tip that it seems few people know.
When approaching a bus at a bus stop, look under the front of the front wheel. You'll see people's feet through there as they move around the front of the bus to cross the road. An extra few seconds valuable warning.
Especially school buses.

And try to get hold of Frank Gardners book - Drive to survive. It has invaluable info for all types of driving.

So tint might look cool, but honestly when you're just getting started with driving, it's a real hinderance to being able to see properly at night, ESPECIALLY ON THE WINDSHIELD. Plus factor in you've got exactly 0 years of driving alone under your belt.

However I'm sure this is not a concern because you're in bed and asleep by 9, 11 on weekends.

Remember, pleasure is fleeting and the guilt of inflicting permanent injuries on someone lasts a lifetime, unless you're a sociopath.

Also pretty sure this is a troll post.
Nope, this is not a troll post. I am 100% serious. Also I drove a bit at night and its not bad out the windshield, its a bit harder on the side windows but still not an issue.

You get the full license a year after you get the learners permit. but you have to be at least 15 to get it and 16 for your license, in my case I got the permit 2 days after my birthday, meaning I have to wait 2 days after I turn 16 to get the license.

I love all the old guys coming out of the woodwork to tell this kid how to drive.

Congratulations and enjoy the car @Rambo5.0h 😎

Also, pics or it didn't happen.
