I just saw the new Shelby come out and I have to say I wish I had waited a few months to grab one of those. But I'd like to make do the best with what I've got right now which is a 2024 Mustang GT with the performance pack and Magna ride and active valve exhaust. I'm not doing the Whipple yet, but I want to make the best of what I have. I've been looking at the throttle accelerator tuners to get that more beefy acceleration I get in sport and track mode, we all know about the delay in Normal mode. Was also looking at a tune Ford can do where they switch out the magneride controller with one that will give me better control over the suspension and stiffen it up ( because to be honest yes it's really smooth in normal but sport and track leave a lot to be desired) and maybe also work on the acceleration, need to research it more. Been also looking at a cold air intake, maybe changing out the exhaust to a Borla catback, perhaps a double H pipe, but these seem to gain you minimal horsepower and low end torque. What I'm really wanting is more aggressive and faster acceleration on the pedal and definitely some more low-end torque and better handling on turns when I'm canyon carving. Some asshole keyed my car so I'm also taking this opportunity to completely strip the ppf and add a double black racing stripe along the length of the car, bc why not lol and tinting the windows and windshield with a darker tint. 25 on the sides is fine but 70 up front and 55 rear just isn't cutting it so I'm either going 15 all around with a 55 front or most or likely 5 all around and 35 front to feel like I'm getting my money's worth for the switch. I'm new to the mustang and sports cars in general, so just wondering from you veterans how do I get the most out of this v8? It's also a convertible, and I've been going back and forth about switching it for a hard top to get the quieter interior but more importantly the better agility and aerodynamics especially around turns. But I do love putting that top down. My pirelli's gave out at 5,000 miles so that was cool so I'm also trying to figure out if all seasons will ruin the ride quality I'm used to or if I need to suck it up and buy different performance tires. Front is 255 back is 275 and I really want to put 275 front 285 or 295 in the back but I'm not sure if my wheels can handle it the front are 19x9 the back are 19x9.5 so I may need new Wheels to do any of that. Short of buying a Shelby and man with all that carbon fiber add-ons they put on especially the spoiler on the hardtop and hood, I'm getting that next but for now I can't afford it and have to stick with what I've got. So can anyone give me a rundown on what is the best bang for my buck mods? And be free to go with the more expensive mods too, money is not an option, to a point.

My next best bet is I've also been in touch with Shelby and they are willing to mod the hell out of it but by the time they do that I might as well have bought the Shelby itself. Need to call Steeda and see what they recommend as well. Even though I paid for the performance pack it looks like I could have built a better one myself for cheaper and like I said the magneride is not aw inspiring like I thought it would be but maybe the secondary tuner will help that out. Let me know what you guys have done for yours and what has been your experience. I love the sound of the car but I just want a little more out of it now especially regarding acceleration responsiveness and more low-end torque, higher hp too if possible esp at the lower ends since this is my daily driver and I can't go 100 plus to really get the coyote going like it wants at the higher RPMs. A whipple will be the last thing done but first I want to work on the other things because I do know if I add that Whipple I'm going to have to do all this other stuff anyway so please let's have a good discussion tell me what's up many thanks

What new Shelby are you talking about that has just “come out”?

Are you talking about the Super Snake thing? I wouldn’t call that a production Shelby in the sense of the GT350/500. It’s more like a whole custom makeover.

You might want to wait until Ford brings out the next production specialty Mustang and just trade up. You’d come out a whole lot better.

Considering you can't really tune the cars yet, the only thing that's going to get you any more power is a Whipple or Roush blower. You can do headers, but I'm not sure you'd notice the difference besides the sound. Cold air intakes are a waste on these cars if you're buying them for power.

This would be a good start. The pedal commander does get rid of the lag when you hit the gas, you'll like it.

Probably want to think about adding wheels/tires

275/35 your choice 19 or 20's front
305/35 your choice 19 or 20's rear

I personally love Project6gr wheels, they are a sponsor on this site, just do a search to find them. Plenty of other great options to fit your taste. Good luck!

Bro this is the exact response I needed thank you so much. Would those tires fit on my existing wheels? 19 x 9 front 19x9 1/2 back

That I can't answer. I've got 20x10 fronts and 20x11 rears. Tire size I typed above are my sizes. I was told that by Project 6gr. Others on here are more knowledgeable on that.

Damn brother the problem is I have a convertible and all of these parts say they cannot fit the convertible minus the h pipe. All the more reason I'm thinking about trading in for a hardtop I love the convertible it's half the fun putting the top down but after a few months of it I've kind of grown out of it I value the speed and power now over that and want to drive the hell out of this thing and ultimately track it. Maybe it's time to look at the super Shelby that just came out or a dark horse instead

Was really looking forward to the stop the Hop kit at a minimum that's a bummer that it won't do it and the Steeda lowering springs they don't do it with the convertible because of the added weight already from it. I guess the best I can do is the pedal Commander and a beefed up magneride tuner from Ford performance for now

I do love the way it looks so I think at a minimum since I already have to remove my ppf due to some vandalism I'm going to add either the white or black stripe down the middle of the car, what do you think would look better the black or the white one on mine?

What I really want more than anything are those extra hood vents and especially that carbon fiber spoiler but I can't even find a performance pack spoiler for my convertible right now they say the hardtop one doesn't fit but I find that hard to believe considering the base models of both the hardtop and convertible both have that small spoiler lip on them. Why I paid extra for a performance pack and they take the spoiler off is beyond me. The wide body fenders and air vents on the super Shelby looks sick too but I'm not sure if all that is worth the cost to add or if it can even be done, hence I'll add a ppf black or white racing stripe when they redo the ppf after I fix some knife damage a mother fucker did to my driver's side from wheel well to wheel well and I'm not sure if the ppf held all the way it definitely didn't on the back Fender and trunk.

you mean the JC Whitney super snake? Nothing really that special about it that you couldn't do to you pp gt other than the hood and fender vents.
