Yep, Jan '64. Apparently slept through the Alaskan earthquake as family was stationed at Elmondorf AFB during the big one. Big brother has fun stories on the big shake. So, 59ish?

I got you by 7 years. My hubby is exactly 1 year older (yes, same day as me, also oldest son born then too). But my husband is getting older and I am going backwards. I am not ready to sit and get old, so clean houses to keep busyYep, Jan '64. Apparently slept through the Alaskan earthquake as family was stationed at Elmondorf AFB during the big one. I have never been a saver, my oldest son is 44 and has to spend every penny he makes, my youngest son is 38 and really budgets, he has everything he wants and needs and has invested in not sure if it is gold or silver, but he always has thousands back. Best bet is always have a couple thousand or more back for emergencies. 50Some of us haven't been saving money for decades. Times change, the idea of saving money and then spending it when you hit retirement age is becoming obsolete. Most people don't want to work 40 years so they can "enjoy" their retirement when they're seniors.
pre qualifyIs it too soon to start shopping for financing if the car won't be delivered for another 2 months? I don't really want to start making payments before the car even gets here but I'm guessing they could modify the loan to accommodate that somehow.
Not alwaysThis is the way
Depends on if you are planning on keeping it for a long time. You want to finance things and then pay them to keep your credit rating up. I was talking to a lady who’s son wanted to buy his first home. He was military and had always paid cash fir everything. So, when he went to buy his home, he didn’t have that kind of money, and couldn’t get a loan as he had NO CREDITand paying 8+% APR on a depreciating asset is??
