I confirm it doesn't play anymore on start, it does a "beep beep". But I can hear the sound on certain action, like in exampling engaging the hadnbrake two times, unless that dump dump is another sound.

I miss the heartbeat. I assumed it stopped when I added my stereo gear

For me, the bongos start when I push the start button.

I also have almost the same reason when it stopped.

I changed my side mirrors and had to remove the speakers. After plugging in the speakers back the heartbeat was gone.

So had the BCM update on our 24 that addresses the A.S.S. I believe.

Got into car , and EVERY sound changed. It lost the cool Heartbeat thump and now makes an annoying beeping like a cheap Ford escort from 2005.

I am kinda pissed off right now. I HATE the sounds that regular Fords always make , and now they ruined our Mustang with them.

So for those of you who never hear the cool thump thump .. thump thump noise anymore , this is why.

Do others still hear the Heartbeat noise still ?
I had the same scare whenever I first heard it. I thought I mistakenly got into a ford escape. One thing I noticed was that even the turn signal sound had even been changed.

After turning it on and off, the original heartbeat came back. I think its the over the air updates that causes the sound to change at times because even the colors on the dash change back to the default orange.

Paid attention today and confirmed it is there.

I am trying to get my seatbelt on, set my podcast to start, maybe also hook up Waze, lol . . . and just forgot about it or do not notice the distraction.
Paid attention again this morning, and it was not there. Started again for a second trip, and, again, not there. No sounds.

Not sure why it is there sometimes but not others.

A chime almost ruined the mustang..? 😂
Surely there isn't the iconic long hood and short deck design, the powerful performance, a big V8 engine, a manual transmission (preferred), sporty pony car styling, endless customization, history of 60+ years of production and a passionate community for the car with an almost cult-like following that would keep the mustang somewhat desirable...

It didn't ruined it, but having a "beep beep" when I starting it, will always turn my head to look for an "error" on the dashboard. At this point I prefer to have nothing. :)

Then it was there again when I started it last night.

Sometimes there, sometimes not.

🤔

Not sure I would have ever noticed if not for this thread.
