BCM recall - photo of one being fixed

Here is what the dealer printed out for me. The body shop has to do the work. I hope they paint over the mess this sealant leaves. There were another 7 pages of instructions for testing the fix.

Mine is in the shop now for this. Only thing I would add is they said it needs to remain in there overnight for sealant to dry before I get it back.

I was told NO

I already checked the BCM no water intrution in 17 months so I'm not letting them touch my car.

I'm not sure. I had not seen the procedure before now. They did tell the recall remains open incase it leaks later.

This is my feeling as well. No way I'm letting a dealership mess my car up caulking.
If I ever se an issue, I'll fix it.

One other thing to note is they are pulling up the windshield to re caulk it.

I thought they are just pulling the seal up a bit not the windshield??

You may be correct I'm just quoting my dealer and they could have gotten it wrong.

Well im hoping they don't have to pull the the windshield up that could cause issues down the road.. here's hoping anyway
