@Starship Enterprise ..... I was hoping no one would ask, now I have to mention a swear word .... it's a GM product and it was HER choice. I tried to get her to buy at least a Genesis GV70 or I really wanted her to get a Ford Explorer ST twin turbo - 400HP. Our friends have one and it goes like stink. But she had loved her Buick Enclave and wanted a smaller car - so she bought a new Envision Avenir. Black with space grey interior. It looks decent but a 2.0 liter turbo ..... REALLY? I know, I know a GM (there I swore again) product.....but she's a big girl and she can choose her own car! She did find some nice rims though......Maybe I can convince her to get it in a shop and put a twin turbo on it? Hmmmm

lol...my wife just got rid of her Buick Lacrosse last year for a Lincoln Nautilus. The Buick was a nice car but developed bad electrical gremlins after 6 years.

But the Nautilus has a turbo 4 unfortunately. But the interior is just ridiculous....

@glenng6 ...... I had 6 series 31 AGMs in my cruiser. I used Mercruiser brand but they were made by one of the big manufacturers. Motorcraft usually use top shelf manufacturers for their brand and gets them to add specialty items ..... sort of like when we used to buy Sears Kenmore appliances - which had specialty add-ons but were made by whirlpool etc. and were better that even the manufacturer's own line. Guys I know buy various brands of oil thinking its waaay better than Motorcraft - Nope - Conoco makes Motorcraft to Ford's specs (very high and model specific) and SI oils (one of the best in the world - if not the best) makes the viscosity improvement packages. Last I heard Wix made the Motorcraft oil filters and we used Wix in our racing engines. So, I stick with Motorcraft as 99% of the time IMO you can't do better than Motorcraft.
Well, I agree with most of what you stated but if they are so great why are Mustangs having so many battery issues? I also use all 31 series batteries in my boat. They were expensive, a bear to deal with (size wise), but were great on the water. As a matter of fact my avatar pic was taken when bass fishing on Lake Erie. Glenn

To the OP and others, thanks for sharing your positive experiences with the mobile sounds like it may be a good way to go for basic maintenance needs. It sounds like they do mobile service for basic warranty and maintenance type jobs.

It's not just Mustangs. Most modern new cars have way more technology than the batteries can handle on their own. As told to me by my AAA buddy who spends most of his day jumping cars that went into sleep mode.

@glenng6 ..... everything is having battery problems, today, due to ongoing parasitic drains. Back "in the day" 5 years was battery survival norm - not now. Attached - left side bank in my 38 foot four cruiser series 31AGMs - right side bank had two more one for Axius joystick guidance one for 5 KW Kohler generator. A lot of weight and expen$e!

I had four 31 series batteries. 3 for my trolling motor and one I used for cranking and all the aux stuff. It was a 23' Ranger bass/bay boat. Glenn

Wait... hold up... go back to "the heartbeat was replaced by the chime" part... my 2024 did that this morning. What does that signify?

I'm 95% sure it signifies a low battery condition.

For what its worth, since getting the battery replaced Ive had no chime or battery warnings issues. I also have not used the battery tender and the car has sat for 4 days on two occasions without zero issues.

I also just had my oil changed using the mobile service. 😎

You should still use your battery tender to maintain and keep the battery in top condition. Even if you don't think it needs it....but it does.

Using a battery tender on a DD isnt normal or needed. If your's does, then the battery is likely on its way out.
