I'm test fitting this air design front lip spoiler and it doesn't seem to be lining up right. The molding isnt matching up with the factory molding of the front fascia and there's a gap. It's like this on both sides. Please help

Hmmm ….mine lined up a lot nicer than that. It may be possible you got a bad one. I do see where it curves outward toward the car where it shouldn’t. Send the pic to customer service at wherever you bought it. Don’t tape it down yet, you might get a replacement.

Good luck!

Here’s how mine lines up. Straight across, not all wobbly like yours.

I looked at Lethal performance return policy. At the worst, get an RA# …return it, eat the return shipping and let them know it’s the last thing you’ll ever buy from them for their shitty CS.

Then order directly from Ford or CJ or even AM.

Yeah they have stopped writing me back. So I went over to air design and showed them. Apparently I got an early production batch and that they used an Ecoboost model as a base for their preproduction molds. There is very much a difference in the gt and Ecoboost fascias after watching the video they sent me. I have not seen anywhere where you have to specify getting a GT or Ecoboost mold. So for those interested in purchasing one in the future make sure you specify before checking out. Anyways air design said the one I got will still fit if I do some light "sanding" on the lip to make it fit the gt bumper or they will send a replacement. I said I want a replacement. Am I being unreasonable??

Did you have to do any sanding to get it to line up properly?

Light sanding will change the texture. Get a replacement, especially since they are offering. That is not unreasonable at all.

I guess I got lucky with my order, No sanding. There is a small gap if you look real close, but the gap is straight across, so it looks OK from just standing there looking down at it.

I never specified a GT splitter or seen an option if I remember right…. Ford Accessory says the same unit is for base and GT model, so I don’t know where Air Design is coming from.

https://www.ford.com/product/front-...-base-and-gt-models-by-air-design-p2928550543

apparently the Ecoboost had this splitter as standard….but the front fascia should be the same?

Mine was the same but a bit better. I then realized that when you put the "glue" that it comes with and you push it in to stick it to the bumper then there is no gap (Because the glue keeps it in place).

IMO, the 3M tape does all the heavy holding and the little bead of black silicone is nothing more than a water barrier to keep water from seeping into the 3M tape and weakening it.
