Auto Stop Not Working Anymore

Not sure why, but for the last week my auto start/stop hasn't been working. I am not complaining since I no longer have to press the button off, but wondering why it just automatically stopped on its own.

Battery is most likely not as "good" as it was when new. I have found on the newer ford vehicles that you can still have a perfectly good battery but if the battery management system thinks it is the slightest bit low on voltage it will turn the auto stop off. I extremely dislike the auto start stop so i love that they discontinued it on future models. There is a screen on most that show why the auto start stop is off, never looked for it on my mustang but its probably there.

Do you have the A/C or heater cranked to the max setting? Pretty sure the AS/S is disabled within certain ambient temperatures and/or if you have the climate controls set to the max.

Is the Auto Stop / Start standard. My 24 (build April 2023) never had it or it is normally off with no switch to turn it on.

You can do a custom mode in My Mustang to have it turned off automatically at start up.

Same, my late 2023 build doesn’t have it either. Therefore, I had to pay gas guzzler tax. This “feature” was added January 2024. Our older cars are considered “Job 1” builds.

no you can't. You can set it as off as a custom profile, but my is just off on the normal profile without switching over to custom.

I thought that may be the case too. The voltage says it's at 14. Isn't that normal?

wish i could code this to be off by default. Is a ridiculous and irritating feature that damages the vehicle. Plus legislation just got repealed so in ‘27 i think they wont have them at all
