Yeah good question. I mean the front bumper is definitely different between the GT and Dark horse. I'm just not sure about how different the license mounting area is. Might need to ask them via email to know for sure.
So I'm assuming the holes are not pre-drilled from the factory and the dealer does the drilling is that correct? so we would need to tell him not to drill the holes for the standard bracket, but wait until the flow design plate holder arrives. Is that the general sequence of events?

I've had a moment of clarity....

I was in at my dealer looking at the GT they have in their showroom two weeks ago, and not being allowed to take photos, it took a bit to refresh my memory cache!

I took in my Flow Design bracket, and he kindly unscrewed the slimline number plate, which revealed what looked like a plastic slimline King Pin bracket, screwed directly onto the GT's bumper. (He mentioned this is the standard bracket this dealership will fit, not the fugly large brackets we have seen in the past - individual dealers may be different <- check).

Conclusion: The Flow Design bracket will screw straight on - no plinth required for the GT bumper.

Yeah there are no holes from the factory in the front bumper. So absolutely we will need to tell the dealer not to drill holes. Maybe get them the flow bracket even before the car arrives and then get them to mount that. Or tell them you will do it yourself if you don't trust them to do it.

I'm not sure how the rear plate mounts. Not sure if there are factory holes for the rear plate or not. I think there must be cause you would not want to drill into metal. That will leave it open to rust and that sort of thing.

Thats good news for GT owners for sure. The Dark Horse bumper must be different enough which is why Flow design made a Dark Horse plinth.

Hey all..
I've spoken with the boys at Flow Design.
They are keenly wanting to design a custom plinth for the GT , which they said would differ slightly from the DH one..
If anyone in Victoria is driving past them with their beast, pop in and say hello..
Cheers and happy ownership

As I have brought the NSW Flow Brackets, I would like to see an S650 plinth created for the S650 GT.

I'm still torn on what to do for the plates. I came really close to buying the Flow Design plinth and two slimline brackets for front and back. Expensive! Will be over $400.
Have you guys used the covers before? Not sure if I want covers or not.

Yeah, expensive I paid $410 but its a quality product. In my first purchase I thought you get both plates but only got the rear plate delivered, buy the time I understood my mistake I was committed so purchased the front plate. I wish i had a 3d printer now i could make my own plinth. I have gone with the KingPin Covers as they bolt on and seal over the plate, I have the other covers on my XR8 atm and they move around and gather dust.

Good thing you mention the dust issue on the Altrex covers. I was thinking of going with the Altrex ones cause they are really easy to take off and clean whereas the Kingpin ones need to be unscrewed to clean. Now you have me second guessing that.

dob you put your text inside the quote. We have not seen a GT S650 Plinth as yet. Only have a DH S650 Plinth so far i am going to use the spacers on the front bracket see picture below, I also ordered the optional extras which are just security screws. Box on Left is Optional, Box on Right comes with the plate.

Thanks XRS. How many security screws do you get? One packet enough to do front and back?

I just looked at the screws in option 1 - 5 and the heads on them is alum key, the optional extras are five star. I ordered two sets of optional extras as I put two orders in for my brackets lol.
