@RobBlock09 ..... that's good news and exactly what a warranty is for and kudos to Ford for doing it right. A friends transmission was problematic in his new, very expensive, pick-up (not a Ford) and the company just rebuilt it. Granted, maybe a different problem, but still I'd much rather have a new transmission.

“Some transmission gears not being available may result in delayed or
harsh shifts into another gear.”

Honestly, I didn't read the one above. I couldn't get past the first one......

Maybe the Ford app was correct and the gear in question had somewhere else to be when called upon.

As others have said, best to get a new rather than a rebuild, and they didn't string you along, which is great. How long did they estimate you'll be without your car?

Between 1-2 weeks
My transmission was replaced in the first week. Bad tone ring. Shipped a new transmission from Flatrock which took 3/4 days, then a weekend and a couple of days to install. Eight days total for a car I had only owned for two days prior to bringing it back.

In this scenario where the car arrives faulty, did you discuss with your dealer returning the car and replacing it with a new fully working one?

It glitched so hard even the app didn’t know what/how to say, it.

My two cents. Your car comes with free towing to a dealer. If it was my car I wouldn't drive it a foot. I would use the Ford App to request a tow. I don't know about your dealer but mine gives me a loaner when they are doing warranty work.

No....it was a custom order in Iconic Silver which had since been discontinued as a color. I know the GM at the dealer very well and purchase my fleet trucks through them so I trust any further issues would be handles appropriately.

35k miles on a 25. No wonder you fried the tranny. You're driving the piss out of your pony car! 😝

as others have said, take it to the dealer. personally, i had that exact message pop up when my DH was only a couple months old on my way into work. i stopped on the side of the road, restarted the vehicle, and it hasn't happened again. the PCM watches the application time of clutches with intense precision from what i can gather. it seems like if it's even a little outside of the expected window, wrench light and limp mode. it makes sense why, but it can result in things like this that happen exactly once in the vehicle's lifetime
