Air Recirculation/Dual Zone button

I've noticed ever since I purchased the car that the air recirculation button and the dual zone button get turned off randomly. I find myself smelling the exhaust of the car in front of me and that's when I notice that the car has turned off the air recirculation button by itself as well as the dual zone requiring me to turn it back on.

Does this happen to anyone else and know the reason why and if there is a way to disable it?

Recirc has a timeout, dual/passenger settings should persist

Believe it or not, the recirculation timeout is fed regulated. They don't want you to become drowsy.
