As a long time Mustang owner, and I mean long time, some thoughts my 2024 GT premium. I've had 65 fastbacks, 70Boss 302, fox bodies, 2003 Eliminator, 2010 Shelby GT 500, 2017 Roush. Went without a while and after the loss of my beloved dog, decided I wanted back in. Being older and questionably wiser, I wanted a compromise of power and comfort. I looked at 2020-2023's and couldn't find anything. Also wanted an automatic.
Looked at 2024's and after sticker shock wore down, not off, I went with a Vapor Blue, automatic, 3:55, active exhaust, and B&O sound. I have to admit, it's the best overall Mustang I 've ever owned. Not the fastest, macho but lots of fun. Great acceleration, great sound, great comfort features. Like the memory seats, sound system, navigation, comfortable ride. Like the remote start-engine rev-up feature for us kids and added a horse whinny horn so it can whinny when it needs gas.
Very please. If you're considering I highly recommend.

I've owned my 2024 mustang GT base model for about 3 months now and I love it. I'm coming from a 2020 scat pack dodge charger and that had several advantages to this mustang but overall the mustang is better. You can never go wrong with a mustang (v8)!

I am about 9 months in from my purchase. I too have owned a few Mustangs and think the 2024 is my favorite. Previous mustangs were as follows: 92 LX 5.0 5 speed, 94 GT automatic, 2020 GT PP with MR and 10 speed. I really enjoyed them all except the 94, which was slow and uninspiring. I would expect in a drag race, the 2020 GT and DH would be close, but nowhere close in the twisties.

This is my first Mustang and have owned it since April. Has about 4k miles now.

Overall, it’s a nice car and would recommend it.

I’m currently dealing with a few probably 1 off issues that would be dealer breakers for me pursue a buy-back/lemon.

I've had my car for about 16 months. I came from the Corvette world and was a little apprehensive about buying the Mustang. I've had many muscle/performance cars over the years and can honestly say that my 2019 Corvette Z06 was one of the best and fastest cars I've ever owned. I had some initial problems with my Mustang and it ended up at the dealership for several days. I was also pretty overwhelmed by all the electronics, and it isn't nearly as fast as my Z06. I started to question whether or not I should have purchased it.

Once I started driving it more often, I gradually became more comfortable with all the electronic gadgets. The seats are very comfortable and it's much easier to get in and out of than my Corvette. The one thing I've always liked about the 5.0 is the sound. In my opinion, there's nothing that compares to it. I made it a little louder by installing a new exhaust system. I also added new wheels and tires. I've come to the conclusion that a 76-year-old man doesn't need all that horsepower anymore. I've been amazed at the compliments I get when I'm driving it. It's been in storage since last October and I can't wait to drive it again in the spring. The important thing is that it puts a huge smile on my face every time I start it, and at the end of the day that's all that matters. It's a keeper!

First time Mustang owner. Nicest, quickest, fastest car I've ever owned! Great engine and sound! I like the A10 better than I thought I would. Same for the glass dash---though if I had a magic wand that worked; I'd smack it and turn it into a replica of the dash from my '16 Focus RS (center smaller touch screen with traditional digital round gauges). The leather seats are nice but I REALLY miss the Recaros from my Focus ST and Focus RS.

I'm 64yo and my last car was an 03 GT Centennial (premium) vert and my 24 GT premium auto runs circles around it. I've driven everything from a 72 Duster to a 78 Trans Am, chicken and all, 1984 VW GTI, and a pile of family trucksters after that. For ME, this Mustang is insanely a great car. Being old school I was not thrilled with the thought of the displays and high end electronics, but it's grown on me and now I love it. While I modified my 03, this car is perfect for what I do. People are always asking me if the exhaust is stock because it sounds good.. So from a midlife crisis person I'm loving this car. Coming up on a year in Feb 2025 and driving it always puts a smile on my face.

@DevilDog ..... my friend has a Corvette and he has to admit that stock to stock exhaust comparison the Mustang sounds waaay better....and I agree that 480 HP is plenty enough to get into trouble with. That said, I get that the "youts" on on this forum wanting to Whipple their 'stangs.

My ‘24 GT/CS PP Convertible is my 6th pony. I never thought I’d get over my ‘68 convertible (purchased in 1979 when I was 17) and I’ve certainly tried over the years. The ‘24 finally did it. I absolutely love it and I’m actually fine with the dash. The ride is awesome, the sound is great, and the blue wheels are cool. I can’t wait for spring!!

This is my 8th Mustang, GT'S, BULLITT'S, GT500'S and now my 2024 GT Premium with Brembo, A-10, and Bronze Package. I bought it in July 2024 and drove it until late October when it went to storage. The looks, the sound, the A-10 Auto are great. Seats are comfortable and entry and exit are good for older folks. I don't care much for all the controls on the dash. I don't drive it enough to realize all the different settings.
My other gripe is wondering when the next recall will come up or if the car will start.

This is my 8th Mustang, last one was a '14 a few years back, so I missed the S550's altogether, except for seeing them at work. Is it the best one so far? Yes! Is it perfect? No! Some of the stuff that I see people on the forum fussing about leaves me shaking my head. But as my grandad used to say, "some folks would bitch if you hung them with a new rope"
I almost traded it for a '25 Dark Horse, but thankfully, someone else bought it the 2nd day we had it, and saved me a bunch of money. I'm 64, will work til 70, and wtih all the more I drive and a long ass ESP, this will probably be my last car. And I'm ok with that.

I also came from the Corvette world, my last vettte was a 2016 Z06. A great car and very fast it being my third supercharged Corvette, but the crawling in and out of it and the seats were never that much comfortable for me anyway. I finally said as much as I liked Corvettes, it was time to move on. I kept noticing how good looking I thought the mustangs were and after shopping around and trying out different alternatives I went with a 2020 Mustang premium GT with the performance pack and all the other goodies, including the A-10 transmission.

My 2020 was a great car in many aspects but the transmission was really an undeveloped piece and needed a lot of work. Before buying the Mustang I had done some research and I kept hearing that General Motors did a good job of putting their transmission together that they had developed in a joint venture with Ford, which according to reports, had not done such a good job. Well, unfortunately, I had one of those transmissions. It was nothing but trouble. It was not developed. it was almost like they did 80% of the development and then threw it out on the street so they could develop it with ” street engineering”.

Anyway, one day I just had had enough of it after 3 1/2 years of ownership and 13,000 miles and went down to the dealership and traded in on the 2024 GT premium with no Performance pack this time. It’s a rapid red with the gray interior, the Brembo’s with the red calipers and I think it’s a major head turning machine with the silver wheels on it. To sum it up I absolutely love the car. The transmission is the after as opposed to my 2020 that was the before. It is smooth as glass up down in the shifting, rev matches perfectly, drives like a caddy when you want to cruise and I can’t say enough good things about the transmission and the rest of the 2024. The ride and handling is dramatically improved. It’s much quieter inside, but doesn’t take anything away from the throaty sound from the active exhaust my car has on it. The high-tech is nice although it does get a little Squirrelly sometimes especially when they do constant updates and you got one thing figured out and the next thing you know it’s different. But that said overall, the tech and all the other Modern conveniences and advancements are really nice. The s650 is an out of the park hit and anybody who has an S550 should seriously consider going to an S650.

My first Mustang was a 2008 GT Convertible, 4.6, auto Ruby Red. I loved that car but had other things going on; boat, traveling etc and after only putting 2500 miles in 3 years it was time to move on. Then in the beginning of '24 I told my wife I would really like another GT Convertible, she's a Saint and found a '24, Rapid Red, auto GT Convertible at our favorite dealer nearby with 678 miles on it. We looked at it and brought it home. Loved that car as well, but after 3500 miles in 8 months I got bored with the 10 spd auto. Every time we went for a ride I found myself making believe I was shifting a manual, especially when Beach Boys car songs came on. I'm 75. She knew I wanted a manual and was OK ordering one exactly as I wanted. Back to our great dealer, traded the '24 and ordered a '25 GT Convertible, 6 speed manual, active exhaust in Molten Magenta. This car just makes me smile from the time I crank it up until I park it in the garage. Love the color and really enjoy shifting manually again. Most of the beater cars I could afford in my teens and early 20s were manuals with a Hurst shifter on the floor or three on the tree. Good thing I couldn't afford a 'Stang like I have now when I was younger. I could see myself getting lots of tickets and going thru tires quickly. Once in a while I let the 486 ponies run when safe and I can't stop smiling.
