I pull in the garage and then use the back up camera unil it lines up with a line on the floor. Perfect everytime.
I do exactly the same thing but have the delay for leaving the reverse cam on so I just pop it in reverse while the garage door opens then cam says on until I pull in think it's speed related to when cam goes away

Good idea. All kinds of ways to place the car well. My wife put a piece of tape on the built in storage cabinets that we just line up our eyes with then stop and there we are. That, along with a tennis ball hung from the ceiling works well.

They forgot to mention, deletion of sunglass holder for convertibles.
Holy cow I didn't even know that my car had that sunglasses holder!

Why would anyone buy a '26 WITHOUT a wireless charging pad, garage door opener, aluminum pedals, floor mats, and a sunglasses holder, for MORE money than a '24 WITH all those features?

Because they prefer a new car over a used car?

When I bought my 24, it was 2.9% for a new car and 5.9% for a used car. Maybe the financed difference is counterbalanced when looking at depreciation too.

Either way, the interest alone is about $55 a month, on a 5 year loan.

100% agree. Those are all reasons why I bought one of the last 25's on the lot. That said ... mine doesn't have the sunglasses holder in the dash which bums me out.

So glad I scored the '24 in blue ember and the standard tremec. As stated earlier, in '25 and now in '26 models standard stuff is evaporating.
I’m with you.
I purchase a Rapid Red 2024 Mustang GT 401-A, Active valve exhaust, bambo brakes, & Auto Trans, etc.
I think we got a better deal.
The 2025 GT Mustangs they drop the phone charger which didn’t seem like a Big Deal at the time.
I don’t no where to start on the options they drop for the 2026 Mustangs.
I know it will save them money but at what cost?

It looks like '24 was a great vintage for Mustang.
I love my 24 Dark Horse premium handling package tremec 6 spd with Recaros. My vin says it was 281 in production but chassi number is 1361 . So I guess it is an early car. I think it's called a job 1. I'm not sure about that. It's Shadow Black complemented by the greyish strips. Unfortunately the carbon fiber wheels were not available when I got mine. Still love it.

I remember having a little disagreement with another member here earlier this year because he said you should never by the first model year on any new car. That take definitely didn't age well. Lol.

Normally the first year of a major redesign can be a horror show, but in the gase of the 7G mustang it was a refresh of the 6th generation, the basic underpinnings of the car and drivetrain changed very little

But every time I read that first post I see more and more stuff on the list.... auto dimming rear view mirror, we are going back to the 1960 something or maybe earlier flip mirror?

Maryland and New York mandate spare tires as std equipment with some exceptions.

But also touching on shared platforms, GM could put the Camaro back into production at any point as its "platform" is currently used on 2 different Cadillac products. Sure they are no longer sharing engines with the C8, but there are enough other GM vehicles using the LS and other engine platforms that would slide right into a new Camaro, same with the transmission, the same 10R80 we use that was a joint GM/Ford venture

With Mercury dead and buried ( RIP ) and Lincoln just being a tarted up SUV line there is no "car" platform to share.

Remember when the Fox body was not only the Mustang, but the Capri, Thunderbird, Cougar, Fairmont, LTDII, Mercury Marquis ( Not Grand Marquis) and maybe a couple I forgot.

I'm sure there are some very low mileage used 24's out there that are as good as new. Mine has less than 4,000 miles but I'll probably never sell it.
I doubt I'll ever buy a used performance car from someone I didn't know. Dealer demos have had the arse flogged off them. Private buyers might have done the same and/or performed a "youtube" break in.
Or simply neglected it knowing they'll flick in a couple of years.

When I bought my Camaro Z28 I bought a 1983 as that body style came out in 1982. Then when I bought my Mustang GT s197 I bought a 2006 as they came out in 2005 but when I saw the 2024 Dark Horse Premium Handling package and Tremec I had to have one and went against my first year rule. I am very happy I did.

1) Warranty
2) Warranty
3) Car wireless charging pads are garbage and almost never work with most phones (mostly because there are no standards for where the charging coil is on phones, and it must line up precisely with the coil for the charger.)
