Answer: Sadly, Jimmy will die of natural causes before accumulating enough money for a down payment and financing for a Dark Horse SC track pack special edition.Jimmy owns a lawn mowing service. He averages $15.00 for each lawn mowing. How many mowings will it take Jimmy to earn enough for a DH SC/TPSE?
Answer:Too ****in' many!
Make mine a C8 Z06.![]()
People have unrealistic expectations of what they should be able to have. Plenty of "younger people" might find a car like this cool and aspirational despite its cost. I find many cars I cannot afford cool, awesome, and somewhat aspirational. I do not necessarily expect to be able to buy one.First they dropped the legacy nameplates to appeal to a younger crowd. What younger crowd can afford this??
Jimmy needs to work with different grass, if he wants an SC.Answer: Sadly, Jimmy will die of natural causes before accumulating enough money for a down payment and financing for a Dark Horse SC track pack special edition.
These numbers seem extreme, even for Ford. $108k for an unoptioned SC, $145k for one with the track package, and $176k for the launch edition? The Starting MSRPs* for the Dark Horse SC are shown below:
Dark Horse SC Coupe = $103,490 MSRP
Dark Horse SC Coupe w/Track Pack = $139,990 MSRP
Dark Horse SC Coupe w/Track Pack Special Edition = $170,970 MSRP
*Starting MSRPs exclude $3,000 Gas Guzzler Tax, any finance, electronic filing, emissions testing, and $1,995 Destination & Delivery Charges

Saw a GTD owner post this on his Facebook.
What other options are available for 103K?Circulating social media right now....
$103,490 MSRP
$139,990 w/Track Pack
$170,970 w/Track Pack Special Edition (consisting of...?)
Thoughts?
The numbers are legitimate. They came in a letter to dealers regarding the dealer DH SC program. The initial letter didn't have pricing. This morning, that letter was "superseded" and the changes to the original letter are reflected in red. Here's the document that shows those changes...Assuming these numbers are real, of course. I don't know if I'd trust a Facebook post on pricing this early, even if it's coming from a GTD owner.
The submission for EPA approval, the "Certificate of Conformity" has not been approved (or released) yet. If the vehicle failed and had to be, let's say, recalibrated, the HP number could change. Unlikely, but Ford will have the opportunity to release power figures when everything gets the ok. Should be soon. Those documents will also reveal the test weight. Why wouldn't they release power numbers with their pricing or unless I missed it somewhere else?
For 7K more you can get a new Z06 - they are being advertised for 110K now.....What other options are available for 103K?
