Well ZR1s seem to be going for a half a million so these will easily start from 500k and up.

There are only two kinds of people that are willing to spend a half million dollars on a regular production Chevy: people with more money than they can ever spend and people that need to get their heads checked. These will be MSRP (or less) before the production run ends. The pool of people that are willing and able to spend even 200K on a Chevrolet is not large.

Unless there is a written rule againest ADM's set in stone by GM, Chevy dealers can do whatever they want.
No question that's true.

When I posted I was recalling the dealer I bought my GT from; sold a (approx) 600 K 2020/2021 Heritage Edition Ford GT

S650 Mustang 2026 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1X Starts At $207,395 NwLkc43l

to a well heeled local buyer. As I was buying my GT (late April '24); my source at the dealership told me the buyer stored it for 2-3 years (with his other 5 Ford GTs!) and sold it for (approx) 2 million.

Stuff like that might not happen with the ZR1 X, but if it does in some instances; I won't/wouldn't be surprised. As the saying goes............................."money talks".

It isn't necessarily the money, it's still a Chevrolet.

A Mustang is still a Ford but a whole lot less money and where are these people willing to spend that much on a Chevrolet going to run them? One has to be careful enough with a Mustang GT or Ecoboost for sure. Either one can get a driver in trouble.

I live in a small to medium sized town full of Lambo's, Ferrari's, etc, There is a lot of money out there. Garage queens too. It's all about being happy to me.

@Dragster C7 Zr1s still never fell to MSRP… stop

C8s Zs are going to be 3-400k cars at best until they’re used with miles and a few owners, the benchmark is being priced and there is just too much money

No one is ever getting one for MSRP without insane contacts ie, insider, YT influencer, Leno

C7 ZR1s were made for ONE model year AND were the last Corvette you could get with a manual transmission. Those are huge differences that are going to drive prices up. It’s not going to happen with the C8. They aren’t limited production cars.

This. I have a C7 Z06. I was fortunate enough to buy during the covid dip and thanks to manuals disappearing and front engine being gone they are holding price very well.

I don’t think ZR1X is going to hold its price well. But they, like the c8 z06 will drop below MSRP At some point. Nothing to hold it up long term and they are making a LOT of these cars.

Nope. They are and will be pure unobtainium…

i would order a X in a heartbeat if I even could at MSRP… dealers aren’t even taking that phone call.

Give it time. That was the exact same thing that happened when the C8 Z06 came out.

Of course they are today. It won’t last. I’ve even started seeing GT3 for MSRP effectively (with one lease but thats not unusual).

But anyway.

Compared to the Multimatic GTD (it’s not a Ford), the C8 ZR1(X)s are a bargain, even with ADMs.

the fact that this is the current state of not only vehicle pricing but also dealer mark-ups is just downright depressing. being a car person was never cheap, but it just keeps going up and up. the worst part is how many dealers are involved in making sure their scams go unchecked and protected. the only real headway made on that front is the CARS rule, and it's not much

Compared to any super/hypercar the ZR1 (x) is a bargain. The comparison between it and the GTD is a forum fueled fantasy.
Time will tell
