I purchased a brand new 2025 GT coupe with the performance package and 10 spd auto transmission. On my first long freeway trip I noticed it has a constant severe vibration at freeway speeds, noticeable starting around 60 mph and increasing with speed to be severe at about 85 mph. I drove it for about 2 hours at speed and it was truly obnoxious! The vibration is so intense that it creates a drone throughout the vehicle and the rear view mirror is literally buzzing, you can't even tell what's behind you as the image is so distorted from the vibration. If you gently place your fingernails against the mirror you'll feel an actual buzzing!
I took it to the dealer immediately, it had about 800 miles on it by the time I got it there and they said that there was an out of round tire, they replaced and said it was good to go. I drove it afterwards and no change whatsoever so I brought it back and they did road force balancing all around and once again said its good to go and once again, no change at all!
I brought it back and told them its unacceptable and that I don't want it back until the issue is resolved. On the last visit I drove a technician through all the speeds and he verified 100% that the vibration is present.
Its been at the dealer now for over a month, they also checked driveshaft balance to no avail. They appear to be working with Ford engineering but not able to come up with a fix, I've spoke to others having the same issue and feel that there is likely a lot of vehicles having the same issue with people not being picky about it and really looking into it?
The dealer ran a vibration analysis tool in the car and then said they did the same on another similarly equipped car from their lot and said the other car did even worse!
At this point I've come to the conclusion that there is something wrong with the vehicles from Ford and that a brand new $65k Mustang should be smooth at highway speeds and that if it can't be alleviated that Ford is going to be taking the car back as I refuse to accept a severe vibration as "just how they are"!
Also, when at speed with vibration occurring shifting into neutral results in no change to the vibration and droning sound, same goes with placing the exhaust into any of the 4 different sound modes, no change at all.
I've also in the limited time driving this car(it has about 1,200 miles on it) have seen some issues with the Electronic systems as well that I've seen others post about. Sometimes it takes forever for the screen to boot up, settings I've programmed just go away etc.
