Apparently Production is scheduled for Oct-Nov 23.

GT Fastback auto 526 Ecoboost auto 106
GT Fastback manual 196 GT convertible 95
Total GT Fastback 722

Dark Horse Auto 347 (179 or 34% Less than GT)
Dark Horse Manual 253 (57 More than GT)
Total Dark Horse 600

So much for the rumours we were getting 1000 Dark Horse in country ...

Although that also explains why dealers are only get allocated 4-6 rather than the 7 average that was previously quoted as well.

A 2nd hand Mach 1 is looking better as I think I will miss out on initial allocation of DH and likely GT as well ...

One of my local dealers got 7, another got 9.

My dealer said they got 2. This specific dealer is under some shared ownership arrangement with another dealership, so maybe they got the 4-5 between the two dealerships.

So with approx. 180 dealers in Australia & 600 DH, that’s about 3 DH per dealer.

I understand some dealers may get slightly more and others slightly less, but 3 would be the average.
Wasn’t every dealer supposed to get at least 1 DH? Or is that only in the US..?

Anyone care to share which dealer has told them what their allocation was?
It may help others who are using the same dealer.

My dealer said that all their DH pre-orders will be fulfilled.
I expect a lot of pre-orders to drop off in a couple of weeks time when the price is announced. 600 X DH is a good number.

strange, the three dealers i spoke to all have far far more orders than cars...

Same for me. My dealer told he he had 20+ orders, and only got 2 allocations.

i didnt ask my dealer. They thought they were getting 7 last time we spoke but no idea.

I cant imagine a dealer having 10+.. i think Bay ford in melb is a HUGE mustang seller and likely got a large allocation. I am sure some dealers got a lot and i wonder if some dealers got none.

I've been told my dealer (Lynford) got allocated 10, will be the biggest Ford dealer in Perth - particularly for Mustangs.

Things are vague, but at this stage I'm not confident I'll be getting one, deposit was paid start of March.

deposit paid? does this move you up the queue or something? I didn't think that made a difference

We got moved up the queue on our everest purchase recently when i threatened to cancel lol... i got a car 2 days later!

lol, I don't think that will work with GT or Dark Horse's given the limited availability... unless Ford screw up badly with the pricing.

Just a $1,000 holding deposit - refundable for change of mind once specs/pricing is released so it's not really binding on either party, just a way to demonstrate you're serious I think

Yeah i was just saying that they 'actually try' when they could lose a sale. I was on waiting list since march the previous year so it trickled over the 12mth mark after initially being told we would get the car in december (9mths).
I wonder if we get the detuned euro version, how many people will cancel... there might be a plethora. what are they doing with the GT then? it surely won't be more powerful than the DH!
Some weird marketing things going on and reasonings at Ford...

you are probably right, and they are...
But we have followed that in the past. hopefully in this case as NZ seems to have done, we just ignore the lunacy
