I really am curious what you mean by this. The Coyote has a ton of high rpm horsepower. Its not going to feel like a torque monster down low. But it should feel very quick, it will be MUCH quicker stock for stock than you 79 400 TA.

No, they said not too, but I have read so many different miles, I’m not quite sure when it’s ok to go over. The one said 1000 miles, which will be a few mos on down the road for that, then the one said 100 in town driving which I Almost have. Guess I need to do more research

Yes, it was cool to be seen in one, especially after Smokey and the Bandit, and the 6.6L V8 equipped version was fast compared to most other AMERICAN sports cars. A Porsche 911 or even a Corvette, however, would quickly suck its headlights out.

I'm still trying to figure out how Motor Trend got such horrible 0-60 times for the GT500 as well when everyone else was in the low 3s ... as I mentioned ....the GT500 will put a hurting on my car too so nothing against the DH
3.7 seconds 0-60 is actually damn near what other places got as well for the gt500. The number is not horrible at all its actually great. Think about this, for you to get 3.7 in a stock gt500 with its original tires is not easy at all. Matter of fact, 3.7 is probably the one of best real life number you will get on a gt500. Most of the time it is cooking its tires and spinning. If you get 3.3 or 3.4 seconds, you had to cook the tires to get them to grip or put a different set of tires on the car that could grip. Also you had to get the track extra sticky to get a great launch to get those numbers. You have to hit everything perfectly to get that car or any of the RWD supercharger car into the low 3's. Even the vett struggles to get that with cooking the tires or changing up the tire.

Then we got a 1979 Pontiac Trans AM (used)with a 400 CI V8 and a 4-speed manual - it had air conditioning, power steering, and TTops. That sucker was fast
My 79 Pontiac 400 Turbo 400 Firebird ran about 12.3-12.7 no problem all day long. The Olds 403 was a very excellent built engine but it was not for a performance car.Daughter? She is my granddaughter
