I’m starting to get some white soot on my tips and some smoke under boost and the car is noticeably louder and smells bad at idle. I think mine failed or are in the process of failing. I have the ESS kit. Tuning on my own obv. It’s apparently clear the stock cats are a liability.
Thats not ideal. I took a blood vow with myself many years ago to never again own a car with no cats. I cant stand how awful the raw exhaust smells, plus the coyote becomes so ratty sounding with headers and no cats. Its just not on my playlist.
No you dont need to do any of that. I did mine a few days ago, took about an hour. A few socket extensions worked perfect. I removed my strut tower brace and the engine cover, and that was it. Getting to the back passenger side was the hardest, but if you use a 6" extension and a 5/8...
No, just lots of tuning magic to massage up the low side to keep WOT pump pressures.
I still dont see the "tons of headroom" on the pump side that has been said here, but its more than fine at these levels with a good set of injectors. Once you unleash the low side voltage and allow for more...
So my car is tuned. Im still working on some tq modulation nuances with the trans when in drag mode, but I have sent out a few beta tester tunes for folks I know just got kits. Its looking very good.
This kit is very well engineered and a tremendous value. I have about 700miles on my kit...
So depends. But for me, I believe that Ford has it right but at a lower level than it should be. I like to maintain their shape of a lot of the tables I change, but scale them up accordingly. Most cases the Ford shape/theory is the best. They spend the cash and did the R&D, so why try to...
7800 RPM shifts now. I had the gopro mouth mount so dont mind the heavy breathing...lol Plus I was nervous hitting it like that with the stock tires on still. It feels insane in the seat.
Depends on the dealer. It should yes, but a lot of service departments are mod friendly. My local ford shop does whipples and other crazy builds on brand new cars and sells them with ford and dealer backed warranties. Just have to call and ask. Plus you can always flash back to stock as long...
This is your track mode pedal map. Pretty weak. Needs to be beefed up in the low/mid range to get that car moving under part throttle.
Compared to sport.
