Yes and you dont think anyone wouldnt want to reproduce these results and want to know the cost? If its $40k then its $40k. Just be honest. Theres no shame in sharing the total cost of what a build like this would be to reproduce.
For kicks, I asked AI to total up the parts list on this. How did it do?
Below is a parts-only cost approximation (no labor, fluids, gaskets/hardware, dyno time, shipping, taxes, or core charges). Pricing is based on current published pricing where I could find it, plus reasonable market...
Ive tuned a ton of GTs and DHs when various CAIs on them and not seen one in datalogs that flows better than the OEM airboxes with the traps out, including the ford paper airfilters. Dont waste your money on a CAI with these cars, its not the bottleneck for an NA car.
I believe they are two stage. Bottom coat black then a silver metallic top coat. That’s what all of these color ford wheels are and ford doesn’t offer a paint to match or touch up paint product for them.
Its Ceratec. The Liquimoly additive that everyone uses to stop the BBQ tick. Its normal and expected when you put in the correct amount of ceratec. Two bottles for the 5.0 and you do it after every oil change. That stuff is awesome and works perfectly to help quiet down the engine and also...
I buy all my Fords from Bill Currie Ford in Tampa. I know the GM - Sean sullivan. Call him and he will get you set up correctly and fairly. I've bought 7 cars from them in 2025. All fantastic and fair deals.
I wouldnt say you're wrong, but you dont (shouldnt) just pull these cars off the showroom floor and place them in an endurance race in the summer heat with no prep. Lol with tuning, we can change the ECT parameters for the rad fan to come on sooner, and faster RPMs than stock. We can force...
I think Ive said this in this thread before, but I turn off the S/S in the tune when I do them for people and its been a god send. So glad we got that option to kill it for real.
The major software recall was for whipple to build in a mechanism to allow the throttle body to snap closed in the event of a power failure allowing the engine to stop and not continue to accelerate when you have no control.
this has no bearing on your issue. Trust me when I say it’s not a...
No that’s not the case at all. You likely have a bad drivers side wideband o2. I’ve seen several whipple tunes for these and tuned several and there are no fueling issues with their tunes. The widebands independently measure on either side. You likely do have a mechanical issue or that bad...
What trouble? Tuning? We can tune them now and there is a lot of improvement that can be made on the whipple tune. We don’t have to adhere to fords standards like they do.
I would just stick with 5w30 for NA and move up to 5w50 for Boost. Everyone does it and either way it wont be an issue. And for the record, I have ran 5w50 on my NA cars and it eliminates the bbq tick. Also Ceratec with 5w30 does as well.
