Yep thats what mine did with my ESS car after about 800 hard miles. RIP stock cats. Mine are hallowed out now. Car sounds good with the complete stock active exhaust. Stinks, but sounds good and isnt as loud as headers with no cats.

My two 25's both do that. Still some bugs Ford has to work out.

8 hours is what a real shop that knows how to do them charges labor for. $1200 is about average cost. Less is suspect and more means they dont want to do it.

If you arent getting a tune either for NA then sure get one. But any tuner should be able to change the pedal demand for you and its dramatic when its done right.

Dont get this. The whipple tune completely changes pedal tq demand and the pedal demand ramp ups. That will severely ruin the drivability. You shouldnt run that anyway. Just get a tune if youre NA. Pedal demand ramp ups can be easily refined and should be.

no it doesnt. Drag mode has the least amount of tq modulation as well.

Quick update. The stock cats lasted 800ish miles. RIP stock cats. The car started to blow smoke under boost and got a quite a bit louder and smellier after the last few rips last week. Figured they were going, so had to get them gutted. Car is perfect again now and rips HARDER than before...

Ive tuned 267 of them since July of last year. There are tremendous gains in both performance and drivability getting a quality tune. I tuned my personal GT at about 100 miles on the odo and its the way it should be from the factory.

Yeah, the whole manifold had to come off. Then you cut the front of it off and it’s a straight shot right into the cat. Lots of work but worth it.

I took the easy way out and gutted the cats. Wow what a massive difference in power now. Not too much louder too.

Discussed to death is the understatement of the centry. As everyone eventually finds out, buy a bottle of Liquimoly Ceratec and dump it in after every oil change. It will remove the tick until you change the oil again. You're welcome.
