  1. U-DRAG RACE: 911 Carrera S vs. Supercharged Mustang Dark Horse

AWD cars definitely have an edge in this test.
  2. E85 vs. Flex power.

    Plus, worrying about 5hp....
  3. Edmund's Supercharged Dark Horse 'broke'

Depends on what breaks. This is from the previous model.
  4. Edmund's Supercharged Dark Horse 'broke'

Yes. But what I'm saying they're wrong about is "all the numbers we gathered with this car are invalid". I think the car was running just fine before the track visit. They know plenty about cars. But mechanical issues, troubleshooting, much less aftermarket supercharged Mustangs? No. 3 months...
  5. 2024+ Mustang GT Air Intake Filters

You can't check this in the garage, you need to be at wide open throttle with a load on the engine. Should be no vacuum in an ideal setup
  6. Brake giants go bust: StopTech and Raybestos dead after $6 billion fraud

Good ol cost cutting and greed. Hopefully someone scoops up what's left of the companies at a bargain and gets them going again
  7. Why is This Car so Heavy?

Depends on what years you are comparing. The Miata porked up a bit but has lost weight in the last generation.
  8. E85 vs. Flex power.

Probably a better question for the tuner who makes the flex tune. They aren't all setup exactly the same.
  9. Edmund's Supercharged Dark Horse 'broke'

People say this but my car doesn't smell any different on e30
  10. ESS Supercharged S650 Sets Stock Motor Record 8.69 @ 160

That is moving for sure. Stock motor, definitely not the stock 10R80
  11. Edmund's Supercharged Dark Horse 'broke'

Did any actually post any logs or tune screenshots? Had they pulled timing there would have been threads about it and plenty of complaints. Anybody who got the new tune said it was great and that was that. also, I believe that is two different updates. One from Whipple one from Ford.
  12. Edmund's Supercharged Dark Horse 'broke'

Shouldn't be related in any way Ford Motor Company is recalling select 2024-2025 Ford Mustang supercharger kits over an issue with unintended acceleration. The defect: in affected vehicles, the powertrain control module (PCM) may experience a software error and disable functional safety...
  13. Edmund's Supercharged Dark Horse 'broke'

Right, I'm just saying they're wrong. They don't know dick about these cars. But I get it, these guys are automotive journalists, not basement-dwelling internet exports. Basically what you can pull from this information is: "Is the Whipple kit for the Mustang reliable?" Maybe. Don't be...
  14. Edmund's Supercharged Dark Horse 'broke'

If the plugs weren't gapped right and it was misfiring they would have felt it and known something was wrong. It's very obvious when it happens. It doesn't sound like it's doing it in the video and the dyno chart would be all choppy if it would have been misfiring.
  15. Edmund's Supercharged Dark Horse 'broke'

I really doubt it Didn't seem too off for a California 91 octane stage 1 tune....also if the spark was breaking up you'd feel it...
  16. Edmund's Supercharged Dark Horse 'broke'

https://www.edmunds.com/car-news/ford-mustang-dark-horse-track-day-problems-long-term-update.html I don't think we are getting the whole story here. I have had mis-gapped plugs on supercharged Mustangs before. You basically end up getting 'spark blowout', although that might not be actually...
