  2. Why is This Car so Heavy?

I don't think the Mustang should be AWD. It's a RWD car, always has been. I don't think they can add AWD (and certainly not electric/hybrid) without severely compromising the rest of the car, adding a bunch of weight, adding another $10,000 to the price... If Ford wants to do an AWD car they...
  3. Well I am not used to this storage thing

What about sitting in the sun on those 110 degree days? 😰
  4. Why is This Car so Heavy?

Something smaller and lighter. Closer to the current Supra. Cheaper somehow? The current engine/transmission are fine to carry over. All this talk about hybrid, AWD, etc seems great but it's just going to increase size, weight, and cost.
  5. Break in period?

Was a Subaru it wasn't meant to live long either way
  6. Why is This Car so Heavy?

    Shared platform is a compromise
  7. Why is This Car so Heavy?

That's a myth. A lot of videos out there where they weigh both cars back to back. The S650's weight a little more but nowhere near 200lbs for similarly equipped cars.
  8. Ford approved garages for mods?

Cat-backs ruin your warranty in the UK?
  9. TREMEC Transition?

Things that will never happen for $500, Alex (Ken?)
  10. Why is This Car so Heavy?

Just park a newer Mustang next to a fox body and you can see how giant it is 10 inches longer, 7 inches wider, 3 inches taller... The S550/S650 is about the same amount larger than the fox as the Dodge Charger is than the Mustang.
  11. Why is This Car so Heavy?

The ZL1 was 3886 lb according to car and driver, the non-carbon fiber package GT500 is 4225lbs (with actual weights seeming to come in a little less than that)
  12. Ford approved garages for mods?

Ford won't care about the exhausts past the cats
  13. 2024 Mustang GT (non PP) - Autocross Temp Concerns

A few laps of a road course can overheat the auto trans in the Dark Horse models or the differential on the PP2 models...but for autox you shouldn't have any issues. Feel free to do any upgrades you want, though. Radiator, oil cooler, boxing the radiator in, brake cooling ducts, hood vents...
  14. 2024 Mustang GT (non PP) - Autocross Temp Concerns

None of those are in the danger zone
  15. Why is This Car so Heavy?

There's a thread over on Mustang6G about what individual stuff weighs Compared to the older car, things like wheels/brakes are bigger and those are heavier. The IRS is heavier than the old solid axle. As far as Camaro vs Mustang, the Mustang is larger overall. And the LT1 engine is a little...
  16. Auto Start/Stop killed by EPA rules deregulation

Guess who Ford is supposedly talking to? https://www.reuters.com/business/autos-transportation/ford-geely-talks-manufacturing-technology-partnership-sources-say-2026-02-04/
  17. Supercharger Coming in Spring- What Supporting Mods am I missing?

You don't need it for a single 1/4 mile pass but the street is another story. ECT basically starts going up when you do a pull so to help with detonation resistance and overall performance I want everything to be as cool as it possibly can.
  18. Well I am not used to this storage thing

I've heard "modern cars don't rust" a lot on the internet. Not sure where that comes from. And I've also heard "automakers started galvanizing steel body panels in the 80's so that's when they quit rusting". I guess that explains why there are so many rust free fox bodies and SN95's out there...
