Safelite did that to my 23 when they did the windshield. They bottom seal was warped from sitting on itself when the windshield was stored. They had to redo the windshield with another replacement that didnt have a warped bottom seal. Second one was better but the gap was never perfect like...
lol clearly. But in all fairness you can’t be reasoned with at any level. You seem to know better no matter what anyone tells you. You were dead set on this flex tune and dammit you got it lol. Forget the 200+ s650s I’ve tuned, you know better.
Well congrats man. You win. I’m done with this...
The fast write is for the new fords and using the RTD4 with TDN or MPVI3 with laptop. As I said the first write of your custom tune over the stock tune should be a tad over 3 minutes. Any subsequent write between another same OS custom tune is like 30 seconds now.
With the RTD4 when writing from one custom tune to another it’s less than a minute now with the S650. If you do a full write of you are changing the OS, it’s about 3 minutes 30 seconds.
I for sure fail to see that especially when you’re currently getting 93 octane tune spark on what is essentially an e70 tune. That’s leaving a shitload on the table for what? Because you don’t want to spend 1 minute flashing another tune that is on the phone you carry in your pocket 24/7...
Hey we all have our thresholds as to what we are comfortable with putting out in the world, especially with remote tunes from across the country. So I dont fault him. I know Ray is a great tuner and Flex tunes are a pain in the ass, so if he can do them well then more power to you guys. I...
Congrats. Let us know what it runs at the drag strip. I'd love to see the trap speed. Dont forget to log the run for Rob. Thats invaluable data right there.
Bro you are about 3-4 degrees short on spark. Thats 93 tune spark. Stock is 25-26. A conservative e85 tune should be a solid 32*. If not more if the car likes it. I wouldn’t go further but I’ve seen logs from other tuners shit with 33-34* and one at 35. That’s bananas but 32 is like the gold...
This was observed by other folks like Greg Banish in street and race car applications. You wont see the temp spike because these are inferred temps and when logged will follow the calibration's temp directive for that given load/RPM.
I would have to go back and look at the logs I have on the...
Mine are 8k. I've never seen any evidence of the car making power at 7950+++ without aftermarket intake manifold/cam setup. We tried for weeks running probably 50 different VCT cam angles all the way to 8500 and no matter what we did, the engine didnt want to make power that high. 7350 was...
Lol bro I got you. No need to get upset, the internet isnt that serious. Personally I wouldnt run anything but an FIC1k or ID1050 on that set up. Especially since tuning is out for whipple kits and you can easily read out that whipple tune and make the changes you need for injectors.
At that...
What were the trims at? I would guess LTFTs at around 25%+ and the shorties in the 10s-teens. Maybe less on the shorties, but still you got a max headroom "I believe" around +or- 35%. Actually I've seen more I think. Its been a while since I've seen a log that far out. At this point in the...
In my opinion thats pushing the fuel trims way too far. I'd need to see a WOT log, but I can imagine you are approaching the limits of the fuel trims. And once you hit that wall, thats when you'll actually run lean and have problems. Or not. Maybe the bit of lean out you get might add a bit...
You’re so completely wrong it’s silly. You have both DI and PI fuel systems lol. And even on full e85, you still have a consistently observed 40-50% overhead when only warm blending in 10% PI injection. You still have a tremendous amount. Of NA headroom to run full e85, and it’s been this way...
I meant with mustangs. You said you were guessing that a real e content sensor wasn’t being used and this was correct because as I said , nobody uses them. Not on mustangs. They can’t be pinned in like on GM cars. Yes I’ve tuned several Camaros with the real e sensor added and the PCM will...
Nobody uses a real e content sensor. It’s all inferred from the widebands/fuel trims. And junkyard, the car has real time fuel trims anyway and can add or subtract 35% as needed safely. It’s not ideal but it’s fine for varying blends. It’s easier to just change the stoich to whatever is...
You aren’t a tuning customer, not on this platform it sounds like. I’m about 46 and I feel where you’re coming from. I’m not my tuning customer either because I don’t call strangers “twin” and reply to every statement with “bet”. But 95% of my s550/s650 customers do. I don’t run and don’t...
Oh agreed. But a few have learned a very expensive lesson recently when they've been door to door or even walked by GTs with the same or more mods. This was a hard lesson for the GT350 guys when tuned GTs were walking those stock GT350s as well. And we are running the GTs to 8k RPM now, so...
