TC can force early shifts so on the shift it might have skipped to catch traction. I see this NA on the 2-3 where it will skip 3 and go to 4 on hard pulls with TC on.
Skip everything power wise and just get an ESS kit. Save all that money you would waste on intakes and ported nonsense. The headers will be a help no matter what, but aside from those, a tune and boost, these are not NA mod friendly cars to anything meaningful past 500 rear wheel hp.
Thats surprising how rich the whipple tunes are for power enrichment. And cat over temp is still on but temp limits are raised 50f. I wouldnt think it was the whipple that did it.
With my tunes, I set the grille shutters open 100% all the time and set the fan to come on at 180 and not 212 like stock. It helps a ton. I wouldnt do this on cars that will be driven in winter locations. But in summer in FL, its been great.

Depending if the compression is lowered, they could make less which is usually the cast with the LS/LT crowd. Now when you add boost, then all bets are off. But in the coyote game, the 10R80 becomes the weak point before the short block does.
