Yeah we (P1 ownership) work with them closely and I dont believe they saw any of this coming. Its going to be a while for them to get to this point im hearing. They are still sorting out their product for the s550.

So these MG1 PCMs arent locked. They are encrypted. They dont need to be unlocked, you just need to have the OEM encryption keys to do the key exchange to write the tunes. Ford wont be able to lock us out. Unless they change the encryption keys. Which I dont think they can or would do over...

More transparency coming, strap in. In all honesty thats more E content that you probably need. We see peak knock protection around e50-e60 actually. The reason full E is preferred is the slight extra cooling you get from that extra ethanol and silly enough its just easier to straight pump...

Yeah we have been getting very little info from HPT and there are still a lot of questions in the air. I KNOW for a fact that they rushed this out because SCT leaked they were going to have their s650 solution on this monday (tomorrow). HPT wanted to be first to market. They are about 75%...

No the RTD3+ isnt supported. Only the RTD4 for TDN. And I dont know about OTA updates, but realize that if the car does get updates OTA for the PCM/TCM, then you can just flash your tune back on the car. For the MPVI devices, I use an MPVI2+ and it works with VCM editor/scanner, but I had...

We can set it however you want. Each mode has its own pedal demand. Normal I usually set 1:1 perfectly linear to the throttle blade. Sport is more advanced in the initial bite and gets to WOT faster. Track leave alone. And drag is like a steep incline to 90% pedal that puts you at 100%...

I try to be as transparent and forthcoming as I can. You cant please everyone, and you also cant care. I do care to a point, but after that caring becomes a liability that starts costing us both money. Letting folks off the hook so to speak, it really doing both of us a favor. I really try...

We got you man. You will be very happy. Headers too, I have some very cool VCT cam angles that make massive used of the scavenging advantage that headers have.

somebody has to be a guinea pig. In our case, it’s me. I have a $55,000 premium Mustang with 1000 miles on it that I have been absolutely beating the ever loving shit out of. I’ve been data logging flashing, tuning testing and to the point almost breaking this car just so I have something that...

no, I think it’s in reverse here. Folks like you are already expecting to be disappointed. And in my experience as a professional, it’s easier to just let you off the hook to start with then have to deal with you for a week at a time and have you eventually tell me you want a refund because...
  11. It’s official. We have full custom tuning access via OBD II !

No the RTD devices do not hold tunes. They are not preload-able. This isnt like a diablosport or SCT handheld. They are simply the device that connects to the car that facilitates the delivery of tunes from your phone to the car via the TDN app. We put the tunes out in your TDN file and you...
  12. It’s official. We have full custom tuning access via OBD II !

Yes we dont do flex tunes anymore. Nobody really does. On the mustang, they are very finicky because the alcohol content is inferred by the data coming from the widebands. Its skewed at best and takes time to learn. Once learned, you have to hit the relearn trigger by filling up a certain...
  13. It’s official. We have full custom tuning access via OBD II !

None of this is about HP numbers. Its about gains throughout the curve. Pedal demand changes, all the tq modulation lowered or removed for certain drive modes, and the trans refinements. The trans changes alone turn this car into a beast. We remove all the skip shifting and tq modulation...

Oh man you have no idea. It’s like a whole new car. Watch this on how to do all the tuning.
  15. It’s official. We have full custom tuning access via OBD II !

We can do that for $450 I believe and then the price of the tunes are $500. That’s 91/93, e85 and ghost cam. but this is only with purchase of tuning from me. Otherwise it’s $499 like everyone else. https://www.p1tuners.com//_paylink/AZf1cxwM

We generally remote tune. Im just north of Tampa. Not sure of the gains yet, but the car feels like a rocketship now. Just being able to refine the trans was a huge upgrade in drivibility.

I was able to have one of the HPT guys build my stock file from an infolog pulled on my car from VCMscanner. Basically a favor for tuners.
