The engine may be warming up, but the transmission is just sitting there waiting for input. Trans fluid isn't circulating in park. I'm in Texas, so there are few days I'm driving the Mustang when it's cold ( For reference, anything below 65F is "cold" in Texas ). As I mentioned above, the few...
Because Ford bet stupidly on the EV lineup, which not only was not ready for prime time, sales were below expectations and at a loss. Ford made up the per unit loss by amortizing it across the model line.
I just had blower and headers done, I went with the s/w catted headers, but after multiple rounds discussion with the shop owner, he all but insisted we remove the cats. He said even the high flow cats were going to get killed, so this and having already read some of the melted cat stories on...
almost? I've been high 10's to low 11's on the last bike I (seriously) drag raced, a well built ZX11 Kawasaki. Edmunds reported what, 11.6? The 11 was 520 # wet and over geared to control the wheelies. down 3 teeth on the rear sprocket and she put down 155 rwhp, 90 tq. So yes, as a car...
Get off my lawn !
:cwl:
You gotta get past this loss, it's just a car and some money. Life can treat you a lot worse.
At least you're not on youtube for Mustang infamy.
Go and be well.
Oh SNAP.
Your sounding like the kid in 7th grade who wrote a check with his mouth that his ass now has to cash and replies with "my big brother will kick your ass!" right before being sent to the nurse crying with a fat lip.
What are you still doing here, anyway? Serious question.
You...
TBD & Whipple. Respectively.
Dyno was really good, but had to be done in 7th due to wheel spin. It took 2 days to get a clean run but they got the intercooler input to ~34F. It complicated the install more than a bit.
The good news is the blower, headers, i/c - all free!
The bad news...
It's like any other vehicle; you get used to it. I got my wife a Lincoln a few years back and it has push button transmission selection on the dash. I use it as a backup sometimes if she's not using it. No, it's not 'natural' because my other vehicles are different, but it works for her, she...
WHAAAAATTTTT?
Are you the only poster in this thread that's not a multi-disciplined licensed racer, ASE master technician & engineer?
You do know that this is the internet? EVERYONE here just fiddles around with engine design in our off time and part time consults with big 3 auto...
Picked up Black Betty from the shop. Had a blower, headers and interchiller installed.
God smiled at me, someone did 50 on a 2 lane road signed at 65. In a passing zone with nobody coming.
Holy F***.
Did you read up on the thunderbolt? Similar in that it was disclaimed at purchase, light weight parts and a run of only 100.
regardless, all of these titans of yesteryear came with tiny, crap tires, and the only Nannie’s wwere the voices in your head.
get stickier and better tires to help with...
So how much power do you think this particular guy got out of headers? 40? 50 hp? That's generous to be sure and that would drop him to about 433 wheel horsepower, which would be over 500 crank hp.
I mean, there's a crap ton of engine dyno runs for the L88 out there, all of them showing...
Agreed

Notice a trend? 7 liters +
see the above links. The l88 is hard to get chassis dyno numbers on, but 470+ for a stock l88 to the wheels...
Jorge MartĂn winning on a (semi) Privateer Ducati a couple years ago was freakin' awesome. When was the last time a non factory team won the motogp championship?
I hope he's back to form this year.
I hope Yamaha brings more game this year too, it's getting tiring watching the Ducatis now...
I think probably the absolute best example of this is the World Superbike series from about '08 - '20
