  1. Leasing/Financing/Trade-ins/Credit

Financing rates, credit scores and loan characteristics are highly-personalized. But I can think of a few topics you should be aware of: - Debt to income ratios. Any increases to debt while income remains the same will reduce your credit score, while potentially increasing assigned interest...
  2. Regarding the 2024 Mustang GT Engine Block Heater

That's a great idea and I can see that working. I just checked eBay. Incandescents can still be had.
  3. 2024 GT hood vent issues - water / rain on engine, belts, wiring?

FWIW, no one reports any long-term issues with the S550s. One vent is to promote airflow across the air filter. The other, to reduce under hood pressure and heat. Mine are at least partially open all the time. Never experienced a problem.
  4. Best tires/wheel setup for Forced Induction

The car is to be a FI DD. What weather and road conditions are expected throughout the year? Lowest temps to be seen? How often are rain, dense moisture like fog and other damp conditions expected?
  5. Regarding the 2024 Mustang GT Engine Block Heater

I've been meaning to add a comment of tires, freezing temperatures and storage. If Summer tires are being kept on the car, and the car will be stored in temperatures where a block heater is used, anyone doing so would want to study the topic of protecting the tires before those temperatures...
  6. Dealer Test drive refusal?!?!

You'll get a wide variety of responses on these topics, for several reasons: personalities, location, definition, current market, etc. I saw my OTD price as this: Car (presented as ordered, with no dealer add-ons) Tax Registration (1st year) Doc fees Insurance (1st year) OTD for me was what...
  7. Mustang scratched in transit

As a reference, the car is currently without title, which aligns with others' comments on no reports would go to CarFax or anyone else. The car doesn't exist yet in any state database. The car does have a Certificate of Origin, created by Ford and now with the dealer. This certificate will be...
  8. Regarding the 2024 Mustang GT Engine Block Heater

I'm not sure it's so much the PP as the headers and exhaust. Techs will need working access to a freeze plug. Someone with a GT can chime in. I looked for some detailed side and bottom views of a Gen4 Coyote and couldn't find what I wanted. Worst case, they might need to loosen some bits, to...
  9. Fitting Immobiliser 2017 GT

Welcome to the Forums. :fistbump: I noticed from the title you reference a 2017 car. While you're Welcome here, this forum is primarily for "7G", the 7th Generation (2024+) of Mustang. If you're looking for insight for a 2017, the 6G forum is available. https://www.mustang6g.com I've done...
  10. Regarding the 2024 Mustang GT Engine Block Heater

I can't speak as to why the kit cannot be ordered and installed with the PP. I suspect it's more Ford's logic and their ordering system than anything else. How many people with a PP will be operating it when the temperatures require a block heater (also think Summer tires)? Ford probably...
  11. Dealer Test drive refusal?!?!

I'm afraid that ship sailed six pages and 85 posts ago. :giggle:
  12. Dealer Test drive refusal?!?!

While reading this thread, I thought of the mileage at pick-up thread. https://www.mustang7g.com/forums/threads/how-many-miles-were-on-your-car-at-delivery.159332/ Every situation, individual and dealer is going to be different. From the perspective of the salesperson and the dealer, I can...
  13. WARNING: Check Dark Horse alignment on delivery

"• Wheel alignments and tire balancing will be provided during the first 12 months or 12,000 miles in service, whichever occurs first." The quote is from the 2024 Warranty Guide, printed page 18.
  14. Oil level after delivery of new car?

Something related to this thread: record keeping. I have a simple notebook I use for writing down almost anything. I might not remember what something was, but I know where to find that information. The first few drives in-particular, I'd do a general check of the car. Fluid levels, tire...
  15. Oil level after delivery of new car?

The instructions I posted above are for a 2024. This post will be of my experience with a '22, Gen 3 engine. First time I checked, hot, it was right at the "Full" level, or very close to it. Within the range of the top "x". First time I checked cold, it was close to 2 "x" positions down from...
  16. Oil level after delivery of new car?

If you did not already know, oil expands when hot, which will affect the readings. I check mine on level ground, after the car has been at its normal operating temperature and sitting. Taking hot and cold readings after purchase, I've noted markedly different levels. I always check hot. With...
  17. Supercharged Mustang for $49995

"It depends." I can lay out two scenarios, but this is a question to your local government officials, by the person who is going to own and operate the car. If the person is a US citizen working in Germany, existing agreements may allow them to import and operate the car while working in the...
  18. Is this normal from ford?

Sorry to hear that. If possible, I'd follow-up in-person. You never know what's going on at these places, how busy they are. And it's much easier for someone to dismiss a phone call than to continue to see a customer waiting. They might have parts (connectors) or even a new spoiler on order...
  19. Is this normal from ford?

I think we can all agree problems like this are systemic failures on Ford's part. As to this specific car and focusing on the rear wing, I can think of several possible failure points: - The wing was designed and created with poor tolerances. It was not checked before being shipped to Flat...
  20. What is 87+ meaning ... ?

For the benefit of Ecoboost owners reading this thread, I thought I'd provide an additional reference, highlighting the topic of Low Speed Pre Ignition (LSPI).
