No telling what happened to it. I suspect it was not put in correctly at the factory, but we'll never know.

Your local dealer might price match. Levittown is selling those screws for $3.66 each if you FIY.
With the S550 discontinued, parts like the covers have been selling at a discount. If you have ready access to one to try out, you could do that. But I doubt it'd fit well or look good. They are tailor made to those models and fit like a sweater.
I have one of Ford's indoor covers for my '22...
It's a good thing to check, especially when taking receipt. The car will ship with the tires at 40 psi / 2.75 bar. The pressures should be lowered to the expected as part of the dealer's inspection process. But they don't always do everything they're supposed to.
I checked the Owners Manual...
I've been thinking about that...
- The engine and the drivetrain are designed as a system. Ford installed a thermostat to operate at a given set point, the engine at a certain temperature range. While a cooler thermostat might have a positive effect at peak Summer, it could be detrimental the...
When you receive the parts and are reviewing the instructions, first few pages will have a paragraph specifying the weight of oil to use.
As an example, referenced are the instructions for the Whipple Kit, F150, Coyote...
I trolled several threads on the topic. Some involving street driving in the south. Others, when people track.
Like any oil thread, there is no consensus. Some continue to use 5W-30, others 0W-40, 10W-40 or 15W-50. You name it. It's all over the place.
The 2024 Owners Manual says 5W-30 can...

I've noticed some dry, re-usable filter kits for the DH, from Steeda. I checked Air Raid and Ford Performance for their offerings; they do not have any, for now.
Agree...
I checked the thread on TSBs, recalls and all that. Didn't see anything.
You noted the mileage. The car should have learned your driving style and habits by now.
Yes, I'd check the fluid next. Autos have come from the factory a quart/liter or more down.
You could check yourself or head to the...

Still studying the comments, but here is a thread discussing a similar issue (?) with a DH.

Yes. I read about that earlier.

Actually, yes. Different type of connector, but same general location and fault.:curse::computerrage:

To the best of my knowledge, there was never a recall.
Aftermarket kits are...
This is from a 2022 Blog Post on the Stewart's web site,
"In 2020, the company struck a deal to buy the local Polsinello Fuels distributor with the intention of bringing gasoline from industry leaders, including Sunoco, Citgo, and Mobil."...

I feel I discovered a design flaw in the S650 steering wheel.
In the initial post, we can see how the metal portion of the wheel is surrounded by the plastic. It's a given the metal will expand at a different rate, and against that border. While it might not break as...
On the day I took receipt, a couple were picking up a brand new F150. Cats? Gone. Cut out the night before. At the dealer.
New vehicles are prized. The internal metals are not spent as much as a used unit and are worth more. Tundras are #1 on the hit list; they have multiple, large cats and...
Interesting. It's a very clean cut or impact, almost right in the center. Almost seems intentional.
Are we looking at the end facing the engine, or the back, towards the trunk? If the former, I'd think some type of road debris. The latter, someone backing over something, maybe during shipping...
FWIW, I've had mine covered in 70% XPEL ceramic and never experienced an issue. Getting the windshield tinted is not as common as doing the sides or back, but it's getting there. Here, they do all kinds of makes and models. I've never read of anyone having a problem.
If water is a concern, they...
Gonna guess it's the metal expanding by a greater amount than the plastic, forcing it to break.
Looks like the car was sitting with the Sun bearing down on that spot and the seat? If so, maybe get a Sun shade or try parking in a different orientation.
No firm answers, but some checks this AM confirm it's happening across late model Fords of all kinds. Harmless, and appears related to software updates or patches.
None of the threads I read confirmed the root cause of these messages.
