the GWM doesnt do a lot for the 360 cam. the cable coming out of the IPMA with the actual video signal goes into the display, it does not send it over the networks. the current plan is to swap in an IPMA due to the lack of physical features on the Mustang's. The Mustang uses incredibly basic...
oh, i must have missed your thread. the main holdup for me is money, an IPMA is especially expensive, but buying a takeoff should work fine. as for the VIN mismatch, it should be fixable with FORScan and the only real issue being FDRS asking for the VIN when a new session is made. the actual...
well, i think i know a state i am going to avoid driving in. based on what OP said, im sure they would try to get me for tint, exhaust loudness, amount the tires stick out, the aftermarket tail lights, and who knows what else
i managed to source all of the original connectors on the IPMA (except ethernet). it uses connectors from TE Connectivity, Rosenberger, and Yazaki. i have been getting better and better at finding connectors on Mouser
thank you, this does have quite a bit of useful info. based on what i found last night and this morning combined with the info from there, i think its pretty straight forward from here (relatively, of course) to actually start the project. something in me says that a step is missing somewhere...
i did some looking on some stock units at work and found this very interesting thing
IPMA in the back of a 2025 Maverick, and they just left the grey connector empty entirely
the pins are not jumbled, but its just the wording is different but usage is the same, but some are not used. for...

this is a thread i am putting together for a 360 camera addition. i've already done a bit of research, but no actual progress towards the final product yet.
as of this moment, here is what i do know:
some F-150 owners have successfully added the 360 camera onto their non-360 camera models.
most...
thats right. its an estimation, not a measurement. however, i think most or all of the other temperatures are real measurements. the vehicle has sensors for the following: ambient air temp, cylinder head temp, diff oil temp, coolant temp, evaporator temp, fuel rail pressure and temp, manifold...
ah, ok. i had to have mine replaced because the button clusters started moving. they actually started moving again and its because the outer screw boss on the wheel is breaking. there are 3 total bosses, 2 inside and 1 outside, and the buttons are screwed to the steering wheel trim
unfortunately, because this is just a wrench light and no check engine light, there is a decent chance that no code was set. stuff like that is super frustrating to diagnose and fix because of it. if you PM me your VIN, i can check OASIS and see if a code was set
removing the steering wheel is fairly easy, just be sure to get a new bolt, as the one that holds the steering wheel in place seems to be torque to yield. Ford says to toss out the old bolt. the most important thing is to make sure the inner part of the clockspring does not rotate. it has a...
unfortunately, this is a pretty standard story for non-performance pack vehicles. engine or transmission gets too hot because of the lack of auxiliary coolers. the thing is that Ford, like someone else mentioned, did not design the base vehicles for performance driving. sure, a WOT pull here and...
